We recently spent 2 nights at the @tidesinn & it was so great for a little spring break getaway! It was about a 4.5 hour drive which our kids handled easily (we didn’t even stop) & then we had such beautiful weather during our stay! We were really impressed with how much there is to do there. When we arrived, they gave the kids these little stuffed turtles & that alone just made their whole day… then they found bocce ball, croquet, & corn hole on the lawn & they were sold! We walked the Shoreline Trail a bit & saw some oysters, a crab, & lots of birds before heading to our room to change for an early dinner 🦀

After we got dressed, we headed over to Salt & Stone, @tidesinn’s main restaurant, & played a few games on the lawn before sitting down. The kids LOVED it! We enjoyed finally being able to sit down for a few minutes :) The food was delicious (A & I highly recommend the Malva Pudding) & everyone was so kind!

I can’t get over this skirt being under $50… it’s the perfect wear-with-everything skirt for spring & summer! I paired it with an old Madewell linen shell & this block print blazer & it looked really cute! Casual & chic 👌

We love a hotel bed… Also, we really love our coffee & tea, especially when we can walk to a beautiful hotel lobby to get it ☕️🩷🫖

Love this little pink dress- it’s a lightweight but not see through material & doesn’t have built in shorts- I wasn’t sure how I would feel about not having shorts underneath but I wore bike shorts & actually liked it better than the built in ones!

We stopped at Mount Vernon on the way home from Irvington, VA, (it’s about halfway between there & Philadelphia) & it was an incredible experience! I couldn’t believe how much land there was! The view of the Potomac was stunning & I was surprised to learn that the view probably hasn’t changed much since Washington lived there. It was pretty special to be able to walk the grounds where George Washington lived & worked… even if most of the house is currently under restoration. This was my first time here but I hope it’s not my last! The gardens were absolutely beautiful & we only saw about half of the property during the hour & a half that we were there. There really is so much to see & the kids loved it just as much as we did! #historicalhouse #historicaltrip
