We got our family photos back today from @gloryandgreen & if she isn’t magic, I don’t know who is! I had myself a day (anxiety is not for the feint of heart) & so getting these today was perfect timing & a welcomed distraction from myself. I was sure we didn’t get a single photo when we left our session but, as usual, I’m happy to report I was wrong! (I *would* have liked a little less wind & a little more volume in my hair, though 🤣). Thank you, Kristy!!! Can’t wait for our next ones!

I took Amelia to the mall the other day & wanted to try on these joggers I’ve been wanting for a while now & Omgosh… currently sitting in my cart in multiple colors & trying to decide which one I want! We went to the cutest Santa brunch a couple of weeks ago with our good friends & we all loved it! I wore these washable silk pants & they were so comfortable! Cutting down our Christmas tree on Black Friday! We started this tradition the year after Joseph was born (so Amelia was 2 1/2 & Joseph was 11 months!) & it’s something I look forward to all year! We get hot chocolate & then go to the tree farm & pick out our perfect tree… most years 🤪… we may or may not have gotten a crooked one this year 🤷🏻‍♀️ I also forgot to get my annual picture of my kids at the tree farm so our selfie will have to suffice 😂 It’s always a lot of fun & this year we brought Birdie, plus my brother & his fiancée came with us! Also, we listened to @carmenjohnstongardens & hosed down our tree & then dried it with a leaf blower & I think that helped a lot! What are some of your favorite holiday traditions?!

Baking has always been one of my favorite things to do, especially around the holidays! I love that my kids get so excited about it now, too, & *usually* want to help 👩‍🍳 Did you know that I used to share recipes on my blog when I first started (14 years ago this month!)!
We’re baking Tollhouse Pie here & it’s delicious! Save this post to refer back to this recipe later!

Tollhouse Pie:
1 unbaked pie crust
2 eggs
1/2 cup flour (can sub for GF)
1/2 cup cane sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
Optional: 1 cup chopped walnuts
Must: vanilla ice cream

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line a deep dish pie plate with unbaked pie crust.
2. Beat eggs on high until light & foamy. Add flour & both sugars & mix again. Then add softened butter & mix until combined. (I mix everything at once)
3. Stir in chocolate chips & spoon batter into prepared pie crust.
4. Bake for 50-60 minutes. Enjoy!!!

What I wore to my PT session when it was too cold for leggings (this morning!). I love a fitted sweatpants, especially joggers, & these are so warm & cozy! They’re cotton & they have definitely shrunk a bit in length in the wash (I dry them in the dryer so take that into account 🤷🏻‍♀️) but this is year 3 with them and I LOVE them. I have two more pairs in my cart right now ❤️ Also linking my organic cotton sports bra & love all of these long sleeve tops!
