Who else finds solace in the kitchen when life gets a little stressful? I have baked lemon cake, tomato upside down corn cake, made hummus, made buttermilk biscuits, and a kale & tomato frittata, all in the span of about 16 hours..... But on the plus side, it's ben fun to gather around the table with my family, and of course, there's the eating. Tomorrow everyone will be at work and school and I will probably be cooking and eating my way through the kitchen. Our table was purchased on our first anniversary using gift cards and the balance covered by my parents since the first anniversary gift is traditionally wood.
