I have to admit, I love doing a natural makeup look & using my everyday bronze, glow tones. Over a natural base on face & eyes, I added a pop of color! Inspo from @pinterest that I thought would be interesting for Spring! I have told you all before that my go to color for eye liner is a midnight blue so when I got the new Le 9 eyeshadow palette from @givenchybeauty I had to recreate this look in a bright green tone. Natural Nails ✨

So many of you ask me about my nails. Why they are never painted. Growing up, visiting my family in Europe every year, it was what I always saw on women. Perfectly maintained, beautiful nails. If they were painted, it was natural or red. I mimicked what I saw, always having a pretty natural manicure unless it was winter or I was feeling fancy, I would go for a classic red. Of course I painted my nails growing up. I even got really into Gel manicures but I have to admit, the toxicity or the UV exposure of gel / polish has always been on my mind and while the toxicity is low, my nails were always weaker, stained or brittle after using any kind of polish. I wanted my nails to be naturally beautiful, but mostly. strong. Breakage was frequent but maintaining a nail routine was essential. It has been a long process of getting my nails to the strength & grown that I have now but I LOVE the look of my natural nails. They are stronger, brighter & beautiful. Not to mention, how easy it is to maintain them. No acetone to dry out my skin, no peeling, breaking or chipping. Just a couple tools, once a week, to keep them looking beautiful & oh so natural! One of the Questions I get most: “Como cuidas tu pelo?” “What products do you use on your hair to keep it healthy?” So here are a few things I wanted to share:

1. Genetics. Both of my parents have great hair. I have to say this has A LOT to do with my hair quality. I take a lot of care into my hair but I was lucky from the start.
2. Washing. I wash my hair 2, maybe 3 times a week. Thats it! Washing your hair too often can cause your hair to dry out by stripping your scalp of natural oils. Over washing can cause your hair to look frizzy, have less shine & even cause dry scalp.
3. Brushing. “It stimulates the capillaries of the scalp increasing blood circulation & moving nutrients to the hair follicles”. This is said to increase hair growth & strengthen the roots while also removing old hair, dead skin cells & left over product. I have three brushes that I recommend. The @aveda pramsana scalp brush to exfoliate the scalp before washing, @thewetbrush to untangle wet hair & the @masonpearsonbrush which moves your natural oils from the roots to the tips of your hair giving you a glossier, healthier look.
4. Heat. Applying heat to your hair can cause it to look brittle, even break. This applies to the water you use while washing it as well! Cold water closes pores, hair cuticles & preserves your natural oils. This also applies to skin care! You want to open your pores with warm water & close with cold. Hot tools also can cause direct damage, make sure you always use a heat protectant before styling your hair & choose your tools wisely. My @dyson hairdryer does not heat to high enough temperatures to damage my hair & I use the @t3 ceramic wand on the lowest heat option always!
5. You are what you eat. Protein, Collagen, Omegas, Vitamins... all help in keeping your hair healthy, strong & beautiful!
