✨ This is my first ever blogger roundup. Home decor and interior design has always been one of my passions, and it’s one that y’all love, too! We recently bought a historic home in Greensboro, NC – built in 1914! – and begin renovations on it this weekend. In honor of the new project, this space is probably going to be mainly focused on the renovation and other home decor inspiration. Lord have mercy, it’s hot in Charleston. It must be 90 in the shade. Y’all, I broke out in a complete sweat walking from my car to the Target entrance this afternoon. But on a happy note, I found these amazing sunglasses and I was able to get them with my prescription for less than $200! Not sponsored, I just love a deal! For non-prescription they are only $95. Real life: we took this adorable photo and then Harper decided he had to pee. We were on Tradd Street (one of the most expensive and exclusive streets in Charleston) and there are zero bathrooms nearby. He told me he was going to pee his pants if he tried to hold it any longer. Isn’t it amazing how kids don’t mention having to go but then once they do it’s a dire emergency? So I did what any other mother would do, I looked for a vacant home. Found one with construction signs so I shuffled him to a bush on the side of the house. My photographer Kailee took guard on the street. I stood behind him and blocked his bum by staring in front of his body. One of the biggest misconceptions my followers have of me is that I have my shit together. Y’all, my feed is pretty but Lord my house is messy. My car is a complete wreck. There are enough snacks between my seats to feed an army. Last week Harper was late for school twice. We ate at Chick-fil-a three times. I wore unmatched pajamas grocery shopping. And I went an entire day not realizing I had mascara on one eye. Oh and I lost my purse. No idea how but I left my whole damn purse somewhere. How is that even possible? The spring weather has arrived (hallelujah praise the Lord). You can never underestimate Charleston’s charm. Yesterday we took a stroll around town.
