Cool weather hiking go to: layers + layers + layers. I don’t actually own a winter coat so I layer up with merino wool base layer, a long sleeve hoodie, and my raincoat. Why inflatable paddleboard are the best: this was my view exactly one hour after deciding to go. Easy to grab and go. Plus - by always having my “adventure” gear in one spot we get to get out more. Both my daughter and I love Title Nine her and we both wear their based shorts and rash guards. Bring on summer. #LTKSwim #LTKOver40

A few of our favorite pieces of adventure gear: kids edition. These pants, shoes, and backpacks hold up to every kind of adventure, no matter how much mud it involves. In our family, adventures are a big part of our homeschool and our life. My kids call these their adventure pants and they hold up to every type of shenanigan we throw at them. The Mountainmaker kids hiking pants from REI are THE best. We also love the REI Rainier rain coats. It never gets very cold where we live, but when it does, we just layer with our raincoats and we are perfectly warm.

Can you believe I fit 5 days of clothes for NYC in this bag, AND still fit a fancy dress? This packing system made it all possible. I got a set for each person in my family and it made our trip go so smooth. The bags are great quality, easy to zip, with plenty of pockets for all the things. #LTKTravel

These shoes are EVERYTHING. They can make an outfit instantly elevated and I adore them. I paired the shoes with these work pants that can pull double duty as dress pants, a white shirt, and a bold vintage necklace. Fancy Adventure
A snapshot of our school room set up. We’re 11 years into our homeschool journey and these desks have worked well from my kids from age 9 and up.
These three things have been a staple in our school room for a while! 1) a tiny (electric) fireplace space heater. This one lets us just have the light on without the heat. 2) Cute, realistic looking, paper moths in different places around the room. 3) Floating, wizard inspired candles with a wand remote! We love these and they add such a whimsical charm to our space. #LTKHome
