Unpack my dayhike pack with me. This was for an 8 mile day hike in a remote area. I always make sure that I have the ten hiking essentials every time I go in remote areas, just to stay safe. Excuse my super swollen fingers. Anyone else had hands that swell when you hike?

I still can’t believe he’s taller than me now and she quickly catching up. The nice thing though is they’re both in adult sizes now and it make shopping easier because there are more options for adventure gear and clothes. These are our go to adventure and hiking outfits

This goes with me when I’m hiking, running, walking, traveling (not by plane), backpacking, camping, and even hidden away in my daily bag for everyday. It’s my favorite (and most useful) knife, bonus: it’s pretty too.

Spring hiking is my absolute favorite!! Arkansas is so beautiful in the spring and this trail has the coolest hidden cave. This is my go to fit for spring hiking and those pants hold up to everything. Including sliding on your backside to get into a cave. Ask me how I know 😆.

In our family, adventures are a big part of our homeschool and our life. My kids call these their adventure pants and they hold up to every type of shenanigan we throw at them. The Mountainmaker kids hiking pants from REI are THE best. We also love the REI Rainier rain coats. It never gets very cold where we live, but when it does, we just layer with our raincoats and we are perfectly warm.

Anyone else an absolute fashion ICON at the gym? 😉 😆. Honestly, the front desk probably thinks I don’t own any other clothes but this outfit just works for me. Plus, pockets. Winning.

Yes, I will hike by myself in remote areas because I stay prepared! This hike has a few water crossings so I always bring my favorite sandals to change into so my hiking shoes stay dry.

The best way to start 2026? Hiking. A first day hike is one of my favorite new year traditions! Sometimes I head out solo, sometimes it’s the whole family. What I always have? Sunglasses, my trail running shoes, sunglasses, and layers. ✌🏼 🥾

I have zero regrets about wearing this fun, festive , and warm coat to NYC! It made all of the photos and videos pop and it kept me toasty all week long. Plus, the pockets were big enough to hold the hat and gloves when I wasn’t wearing them! Ps - wear comfortable walking shoes to NYC. Trust me.

Can you believe I fit 5 days of clothes for NYC in this bag, AND still fit a fancy dress? This packing system made it all possible. I got a set for each person in my family and it made our trip go so smooth. The bags are great quality, easy to zip, with plenty of pockets for all the things.

Christmas time is here!!! I LOVE these two pieces because I can dress them up or dress them down, they’re comfy, cozy, and great for travel. Plus, the won’t wrinkle after being in a suitcase. 🧳

How I stay safe while hiking and exploring solo and with my kids: my ZOLEO Satellite Communicator! This device acts like a satellite phone but connects directly to my phone via an app. I can send my location and texts right from my phone with the full keyboard. It’s great for peace of mind, for myself and for my mom.

A few of my favorite things to wear when I’m out hiking. I like to have my head protected, but still look cute so these BuffWear headbands are my go to thing. They also do a great job wicking sweat away.

These shoes are EVERYTHING. They can make an outfit instantly elevated and I adore them. I paired the shoes with these work pants that can pull double duty as dress pants, a white shirt, and a bold vintage necklace. It packed easily in my carry on and made a classy date night dinner outfit.

Here’s my secret sauce for getting content on solo adventures: a tall tripod and a gimbal with active track. This tripod is a bit bulky but it’s very durable and can support the gimbal. Active track means the device connects to your phone via an app and it can track you! It will actually turn and move to keep you in the frame. It’s a pretty cool tool!

Just a little fit check while I wait for my daughters singing lesson to be done. I love this sweater because it’s a great fall transition sweater, that can be easily dressed up or down. These sneakers and purse are my go to day to day look too!!

Cool weather hiking go to: layers + layers + layers. I don’t actually own a winter coat so I layer up with merino wool base layer, a long sleeve hoodie, and my raincoat. It works great for me and these layers are easily packable when I get too hot. Also, these Clamber pants from Title Nine are my favorites!

Dear Arkansas - I love you. But I don’t always love all of the sun. One of the ways I protect my skin while out adventuring is this hat, sunglasses, and sun shirt combo! It keeps me cool while also offering UV protection all day long.

Here’s how I feel safe while solo hiking or adventuring with my kids: my ZOLEO satellite communicator. It connects to a satellite then to my phone via Bluetooth and I can text in the app or directly from my phone. I can also send an “all ok, here’s my location” message to my family with the push of a button!

My go to outfit for water hikes and hanging out around water. It’s also my go to outfit for stand up paddleboarding!!

I’ve had this tent for YEARS! When my kids were little we could easily fit all three of us in it. Now, it’s great for two of us while the other takes the hammock. I love this tent because it’s a backpacking tent that works great for car camping, backpacking, or canoe camping. It sets up so quickly, has a rainfly and small vestibule and is just as easy to pack up when we’re done.
