At some point along the way, we started trying to make our homes so “calm”, so perfectly on-trend that they all started to look the same. The result has been spaces with no distinguishing features whatsoever that don’t make us feel bad, necessarily, but instead lead us to feel absolutely nothing at all. Is this really what we meant to do?

Your home should be a reflection of you, and just like your personality, it needs layers. I love how a grouping of art lets you tell a little story on your walls and makes any space feel instantly more personal. You can tell a lot about someone by the art they choose to hang on their walls. What does this moody trio say about me? That’s the part that’s open to interpretation, and that’s what makes it interesting.

The real lesson here is that you can never have too many dried hydrangeas.🤍 I display them all over the house in the winter, but I’ve always wanted to use them to style some of the beautiful spaces that we capture for our styling and photography business, too.
