Would you believe that this elegance started here and only took THREE DIY elements to transform it?

It only took 3 DIYs(dare I say beginner friendly AND weekend friendly) to completely transform this boring powder room into something that screams elegance.

I have more tips on all three of these DIYs posted as reels just a few back. Be sure to check those out because all of these are ideas that can be applied to any room transformation.

Now, I’ll grant you that we had the major elements in place - floor, sink, light fixture. (All of which were also DIY’d a couple of years ago for what it’s worth) BUT. It doesn’t have to be super complicated or involve building lots of things or be crazy expensive to add upgrades to your home. Every bit of this was accomplished on a budget and by paying attention to the little details.

There is NO WAY I’m keeping this to myself.

This is the *C-U-T-E-S-T* rechargeable wall sconce I’ve ever seen. I mean the little pleated shade look?! Come on! 😍😍 And in comes in 2 other finishes!

7 minutes to install (I really did time it), 3 screws in the wall, hours and hours of battery life. Even better, it’s touch operated or remotes operated. I’ve used battery option before and this sweet little sconce is by far the best one I’ve had.

Monkey hooks for the win! Such a genius invention for hanging things on the walls! Just push it in upside down, spin it, and push it upwards. Works in drywall instead of anchors and I found out it works in tile walls too!

Would you call this colorful or boring beige? I think this is a pretty good take on a colorful room with a neutral backdrop. I think it’s interesting that there seems to be a swing in the design world and in home decor towards more color and I’m here for it. I think a neutral room can be so pretty but I’ve always been drawn more to a neutral BACKDROP that I can layer color on top of and change as I please.

Want a high end look for less?! We all know Amazon is the place to be. Here’s the deets 👇🏼 (oh and PS these are all renters friendly too!)

1. Shower rain head - we put this in our new build but it’s really meant to retro fit any shower head. It’s as simple as unscrewing the old one and attaching this one!

2. Suction cup hooks - These are BEST! Read the instructions, especially if you have an uneven or porous surface but these really work (unlike others I’ve tried!)

3. Extra long shower curtain - waffle weave, hotel feel. Need I say more?

4. Industrial strength shower rod - ok, I don’t *really* know if it’s industrial strength but this is my favorite rod and I’ve bought it more than once for two bathrooms and it’s just GOOD. It holds a ton of tension when installed properly and does not fall down.
