love these drop front boxes. they're sold as sweater boxes but they're perfect for keeping small bags in sight but free from dust, roomy enough to have extra storage in the back and giving my an additional shelf to put sweaters on top.

a few of my favorite things:

you can't have enough lamps. i love my concrete dimmable lamp, my comfy swivel chair and my sonos which i bet you didn't even see! i'm using it as a bookend . . .

#LTKHome
you can't have too many lamps. i love using them within shelving units like i have here on my vitsoe shelving.

the metal plates swivel and you can turn the black ones all the way around so it's all ivory.

the best Khaite Scarlet Cardigan Dupe!

there are so many dupes to that cardigan but this is the best because they're 100% thick merino wool unlike most which are synthetic blends. the thickness gives it a more structured look + feel.

so soft + comfy that i bought three: the black, grey and dark brown. i'm wearing the small. for reference im 5'1" size 0.

one note, since this video was made the price has gone up but they're still worth every penny!

ugh - this apps crops the videos and took my head out 😬

(these videos are from a longer try on video i did on IG awhile back)
every organizer says you should have matching hangers. i agree in theory but not in execution. i have 4 different types in my dressing area and they're not the dreaded slim felt hangers.

i know many of you love felt hangers and that's fine, don't come for me, and while i have many clients who use them, they're not for me. i've also noticed people with mostly cotton tops generally don't like them either because with the felt causes friction and it can be hard to get your shirt on the hanger nicely.

and yes, the padded canvas take up more room but my clothes love them. and they're way prettier than the felt 🤍

a detail you might not notice, the reason all these hangers look nice together is the neck of the hangers are all the same which gives the illusion they're all the same hanger as not to add any visual clutter.

i hate having a ton of stuff in general (and not just because i live in a 335 sqft studio apt) but i love handbags, especially my mini ones.

i'm using these linen drop-front storage boxes that are actually for sweaters! they're extra deep so there's room in the back for other small accessories or delicates. the soft linen box is easy to clean (i vacuum it) and soft to use as an added shelf for folded sweaters.

the front closes well enough that dust doesn't get through unlike acrylic boxes made especially for bags.

while i love designer clothing, it's not always necessary. if you know your lifestyle + desired look you can easily do a mix of high + low pieces.

the top is gap kids linen relaxed shirt in a size 14. the jeans are classic levi's wedgie straight leg size 24 x 26 for a slight cropped look.

for reference i am 5' 1" size 0 / xs.

for button ups, i prefer either opening most or closing all buttons - it gives a more elevated, intentional chic look.

styling note: my steamer just broke so i couldn't steam this before showing you, know that it would be perfectly steamed before wearing 🫣

a simple white shirt doesn't have to look simple. use my tucking method to update what you already have in your closet.

i recently got this cotton oxford shirt from gap kids (on sale for $31). i'm wearing a 14, the 12 fit but i like how this has a roomier fit. for reference i'm 5'1" size 0 / xs.

and please forgive me for not changing my bra for this video! i only ever wear white bras under a white shirt.

#LTKPetite #LTKOver40
my favorite black tank for the season is this v-neck from me+em. it pairs perfectly with this jacquemus midi side slit skirt.

the details make it look like a pair of pants folded down. comfy light material in black. (it also comes in navy and white but i liked the black best, it also comes in a mini version)

it's a little snug, i got the size 32 but i'm not worried about it.

for reference i am 5' 1" and a size xs /0

#LTKPetite #LTKOver40
these black linen wide leg pants are now on sale at banana republic. i love the minimal look with a slight pleat in front, side pockets and back zip.

for reference i am 5' 1" size xs /0. i am wearing the petite 0 but i let the bottoms out a couple inches.

wearing with a babaton sculpt top scored on poshmark and e cesta collective bag i bought years ago.

#LTKOver40 #LTKPetite
i've been searching for the perfect pair of lightweight soft white jeans and landed on these rag + bone wide leg logan jean. i am going to live in these all summer!

and i love a simple white tank, my go to is aritzia. this babaton busy tank has the perfect tapered strap which is so flattering. it's super soft and not so long on my petite frame.

for reference, i am 5' 1", size xs /o
the jeans are a 23 and the tank is an xs

#LTKPetite #LTKStyleTip #LTKOver40
i strongly dislike thick cotton towels. they take up way too much space and take too long to dry. i prefer thin japanese cotton style towels. they're super soft, and i can fit them all on my open shelves in my bathroom which functions as a linen closet in my tiny 335 sqft studio apartment.
the best khaite scarlet cardigan dupe. i'm first wearing the khaite, then showing the perfect dupe. you won't see much of a difference until you see the price tags!

the dupe sizes sell out but then come back so don't be sad if you're size isn't available at the moment.

i have + wear both as they're so comfortable, chic and can be worn with jeans + heals or black silk pants + flats. i wear it sometimes open with a deep v camisole or tank underneath or closed with a lace bra for a sexy evening look.

#LTKOver40 #LTKStyleTip
comparison between the coveted #khaite scarlet cardigan and its near perfect dupe for a fraction of the cost!

i've had the khaite for 6+ years and wear it a ton so when i found the perfect dupe i got it so they don't get too worn down.

#LTKStyleTip #LTKPetite #LTKOver40
another great find from rails! these are the topenga straight in baja blue. i love a light wash but was looking for a medium dark (i'm not a huge fan of really dark blue denim) to wear with black and i think these are it.

they're a cotton mix with limited stretch. stiff but still soft and comfortable.

i'm wearing the 23, they run big, i'm not a true 23. for reference i'm 5'1" size 0.

#LTKPetite #LTKOver40
another great linen piece from banana republic, these linen pull-on pant. side and back pockets are always great.

these are like jeans; to be worn day or not, casual or dressed up. easy + chic.

i'm wearing the xxs, for reference i'm 5'1" a size 0.
i'm wearing the

loving my new rails wide leg jeans, they're so soft and comfy. and i love they're just wide, not the super trendy barrel style. these feel more like the jeans i wore in high school in the 90's.

i'm pairing them with the perfect knee high snake-print boot from paris texas to contrast the otherwise white + ivory on top. they're a classic pointy toe, not the trendy elongated slightly square toe seen everywhere now.

i've had this acne studios top for probably 8 years, they keep reintroducing it season after season because it's so perfect. over the shoulder is a cropped cardigan from arakii (brand i found via IG) and my constantly worn acne studios mini musubi bag.

#LTKStyleTip #LTKOver40 #LTKPetite
another great find from banana republic. these 100% linen high waisted wide leg pant with back zip and side slit pockets. small pleats in front but still a very chic silhouette.

i love how these fit on the waist and hips as i've tried on so many wide leg pants and the problem is all the extra material on the waist + hips, but not these.

i'm wearing with a simple aritzia top (found new with tags on postmark), black atp atelier sandals from a few seasons ago and a contrast bag for a simple, chic look i can wear day or night.

for reference, these are the petite 00, i'm 5'1" and a size 0.

i had the hem taken out a little as they fit about 1/2" from the floor before and i wanted to wear with a small heal (like shown) and still have the pant touch the ground. while i normally like a slightly cropped pant, i feel for a wide leg pant like this, i prefer the look of this length.

living in NYC, i wear black all year round. i'm loving this simple chic midi skirt from banana republic.

it's 100% linen, with high front + back slit, with side + back pockets.
it has a flat front with a centered zipper in back.

love the elegance of the simple A-line, this can be worn with heels and a fitted top for an elevated look or a simple t-shirt and flats to be more casual.

shown with a cropped agolde jacket, aritizia top (i get a lot of
artizia brand new with tags from postmark since their sizes sell out so quickly) and a mark cross bag + atp atelier sandals, both scored nearly brand new from the real real.

i'm wearing the petite 00 (so it runs a little big). i'm 5'1" and a 0 for reference.

#LTKOver40 #LTKPetite #LTKStyleTip
i love tone on tone with my favorite most worn khaite cardigan in wheat /brown. i have the black + avacado ones as well but this is the color i constantly grab.

they're perfect with these racquel allegra pants scored on the real real. though i wear them with blue jeans most days.

another thing i have in multiple colors (and sizes) is the acne studios musubi bag, here in micro in brown. i love that it comes with a longer strap (not shown) so it can be a crossbody. it doesn't hold a lot but i'm not carrying much.

i love a contrast shoe when wearing all black.

the jacket is 15+ years old with new mark cross grace bag, toteme jeans and stuart weitzman stretch booties. the jeans are a 25. im 5'1" for reference.

i'd rather spend money on what's hanging in my closet, then spend on the closet itself. when i moved into this tiny studio, i knew this spot in the alcove would be perfect for a dressing area. the last thing i wanted was to to add huge cabinets anywhere. being naturally neat, i knew i could keep this looking great so no doors or curtain was needed.

starting from the top:
- ikea open wood bins ikea circa 2005

- upper shelf, rod and shelf/rod brackets from home depot

- lower thick white shelving ikea 'lack' series

the whole thing was less than $300 and since i had the lower two shelves with cubbies at the time i moved in it was maybe $100 total. the ikea shelves are just placed in and stacked, they're not actually attached to the wall.

the most expensive things are the the container store drop front boxes which house small bags and a few delicate articles of clothing.

i invested in hangers 10 years before this so i've had my hangers for over 20 years!
from a mess of summer sandal flats in a (beautiful) basket to perfectly organized in a custom shoe drawer with 3 acrylic file sorters. simply perfect.

the last few years i've categorized as my 'midlife reset'. i was calling it a midlife crisis but that never felt right. it was more of an internal reevaluation of every aspect of my life, including my wardrobe which i did a major edit of.

i was able to clear out a lot as i stopped working 5-7 days a week, which was killing me physically + mentally. i let go of the filler clothes i had to wear to work and still look nice but not so nice it was ok that they got worn and even damaged. my nicer things i've had for so long that a lot of that had to go as well. clothes get worn out and the way you see yourself in things changes over time.

after clearing out (half? more?) of my wardrobe, i felt uninspired. i used to dress really nice and slowly over the years got into a rut. after shopping and shopping with no luck, i began asking myself 'when did i love my wardrobe? when did i feel my best? and why?'

i used to dress a bit softer, more feminine, and i wore a lot of neutrals. it's only been the past 10 years that i moved to a nearly all black wardrobe, and i do still love black but i have enough if it!

evolving doesn't always mean creating something new, it can often be about getting back to when you felt the most yourself.

here are a few of my new pieces i'm loving.

the three things that helped make the most of this small walk in closet.

first: acrylic hooks hung with nano tape. i love these hooks for necklaces + bracelets. using nano tape makes 'installing' so easy as there's no hardware. i'll warn you the tape that comes with these isn't great, so i include the tape i use. be sure to wipe the walls downs beforehand. measure out where you need them based on what you're hanging and use a level to make it perfect!

second: wood pant hangers. matching hangers keeps everything at the same level making seeing what you have easier. i organized the pants by type + color.

third: acrylic sorters for small bags. not can you see what you have, but not having the bags touching eachother protects them.

an easy yes for upper cabinets are acrylic lazy susan's. i like clear acrylic because it doesn't add visual clutter and are easy to clean.

they come in a wide range of sizes. this client's 10.5" wide and 12" deep cabinet next to her oven is perfect for oils + vinegars. lazy susan's make everything easily accessible and the small lip keeps things from fall off as you turn them.

make sure to measure the width + depth of your cabinet to see which size is best for you. as you can see on the lowest shelf, i sometimes put the most used item (or just one that fits nicely) in the corner off the turntable. save the top shelf for extras.

#LTKHome
living in a small space, i always consider how something will be stored before buying it which is why i love this set of pyrex glass storage set.

they nest in eachother taking very little space when being stored. they multifunctional, they can go in the oven, fridge + freezer. and i love the glass too so i can see in them and they're super chic.

#LTKHome
for this client's shoe closet we used space saving shoe organizers for her sneakers giving her twice the storage.

since they're adjustable, you can fit different size shoes as needed.

#LTKHome
i love these acrylic file sorters for small handbags + clutches. keeping your bags upright means you can see them and access them easily.

it's also protects delicate bags from getting scratched or damaged. especially patent leather which shouldn't be in contact with anything or color transfer can happen and be ruined.

#LTKHome
@ikeausa pax wardrobes have been around for so long for a reason, they're great. i used them in this client's small walk-in closet to give her a custom look and feel without having to spend a fortune. their shallow 14" deep frames are perfect for shoes and accessories.

acrylic file sorters are perfect for small bags, clutches and wallets.

three key deep cleansing products:

one of my favorite products is the tatcha rice polish. it's a powder exfoliator so is gentle yet effective. i keep a travel size in my shower (that i refill) and use it 2-3 days a week. i not only use it on my face, but my neck + chest and hands.

i love love the fresh umbrian clay mask to get rid of black heads. i use it 3-4 times a week after i shower on damp skin after using the tatcha rice polish.

i use the philosophy microdelivery peel twice a month to do a deeper exfoliation.

#LTKover40 #LTKbeauty
after years of stressed out, dried and frizzy hair, i finally found the right products!

the wow dream coat (first product) is so good i only use it a couple times a month, not after each shampoo. when i feel my hair is getting a bit sad looking, i use it after washing + before blow drying.

i've had so much hair shedding the past couple of years (covid? stress? menopause?) and the nutroful serum has been a miracle with stopping it. i use it once a day at night (so i don't forget). i don't feel it's greasey or heavy. i only use 1 dropper full on my whole head.
