If your closet is full of clothes with tags still on them, outfits you've worn once, or pieces you "thought" you'd wear but never do—you're not alone. And you're not bad at shopping. You just haven't learned to shop with intention yet. Here's what changed everything for me (and what we now teach our clients): Before you buy ANYTHING, ask: "What will I wear this with?" If you can't immediately think of 3 outfits using pieces you already own, put it back. This one question eliminates 90% of regret purchases. Shop for your actual life, not your aspirational one. That cocktail dress? Beautiful. But if you go to one event a year, it's not a smart buy. Shop for the life you're living TODAY. Know your gaps before you shop. Go into stores with a purpose. "I need black pants that work for work" is intentional. "Just browsing" is how you end up with random pieces that don't fit into your wardrobe. Stop shopping for dopamine hits. Buying something new feels good in the moment, but the regret later? Not worth it. Shop when you have a need, not when you're bored or emotional. Build a cohesive wardrobe, not a collection of standalone pieces. Everything should work together. If it doesn't fit your color palette, style aesthetic, or existing pieces—it's clutter, not style. Shopping with intention isn't about buying less (though you will). It's about buying BETTER—so everything you own gets worn, loved, and actually serves you. 🛍️ ✨ Follow for smarter shopping strategies
