Thank you to @lithoskids for this gifted copy of this BEAUTIFUL book for my kids 🥰 we loved every moment of it and can’t wait to jump into the next two.

Little Pilgrim’s Big Journey is an children’s illustrated rendition of John Bunyan’s timeless Christian tale, “The Pilgrim’s Progress”. My kids loved the engaging story and illustrations, plus the discussion questions at the end of each chapter.

I don’t know what it is about Ashley Poston and her writing, but the way she incorporates magic with romance is just *chefs kiss*

The Seven Year Slip was one of my most favorite romance reads, and I slept on it way too long, so I told myself never again.

ANLS is a love story to romance readers, for the hopeless romantics. It was a sweet story with that small town feel we all love (think Hart of Dixie, Gilmore Girls). I didn’t swoon as much as I did during TSYS, but it was still the perfect sweet romance read I needed!

If you’re looking to jet away on adventure, this is the book for you!

This was a fun story following a mom, her daughter and her granddaughter on a Peruvian adventure—the three are working together to handle grief and loss while also mending their relationships to each other.

It was a fun story with adventure, a little romance and lots of witty banter. The trio at times did feel a little toxic….but they were working through all their problems.

✨Broken Country✨

Let’s just start by saying that if you loved Where The Crawdads Sing, you are most likely going to love this book as well!

This was a beautiful coming to age “mystery”, written from multiple timelines, and a single POV but through different relationships. I found that at first I wasn’t too sure about story, but once I hit about 40% I couldn’t stop reading it!

I think that the imagery of this story really lived up to the hype!

✨Great Big Beautiful Life✨

Emily Henry season is upon us and we all know what that means….people either love it or hate it lol

I thought that this was a fun book for the most part, but did find that I was bored at times. Instant love like this story is not my thing….but it was beautifully written with lots of emotion.

If you liked The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, you will definitely like this story, and kind of wish there was more of that bit in here. This is not your typical romcom, but I would say it’s more of a women’s fiction book.

Finished this duology this weekend and it was such a unique read! I can definitely see why it gained so much attention on BookTok and Bookstagram!

I did find this one a little harder to get into, but once I got about half way through I had to know what happened next.

Katherine Center is such a wonderful writer and I have enjoyed every one of her books that’s I’ve read! Her next book comes out 5/20 (only one more month!) and it was a fun read!

Coast guard, secrets, meddling retired old ladies, big dogs, natural disasters….you name it, this book has it!

I did feel like the romance of this story fell short just slightly, like most of it was off page, but it still had its swoony moments.

This book also has A LOT of talk about body image and poor self worth; if you struggle in that area, be aware 🫶🏻

As I work my way through my physical TBR, I was excited to jump into this one after loving Better Than the Movies. Buttttttt

This one just didn’t do it for me! I think it’s a great YA novel with a fun premise, but it just wasn’t my favorite. I found the FMC kind of annoying at times and kind of want to smack her upside the head lol

I think I’ll be doing research into Lynn’s other books before diving in now! Anyone else love her stuff?

What an interested book! I’ve never read anything like it before. And while it took me a bit to understand what was happening and how stuff worked, once I started I couldn’t stop…..and I immediately grabbed the next one!

✨The Maid’s Secret✨

One last time with Molly the maid 🥹 I have loved this series so much and I’m so sad it’s over! But what a perfect ending.

This book follows Molly and her friends again in another mystery, but this time the mystery is her! We learn more about Molly, her grandmother, their family and life in this book than ever before.

I did really love this story, although here were times when I felt like the flashback chapters were a little long and we weren’t getting as much of the present day Molly as I would have liked.

This is a great, clean cozy mystery series I’d recommend to anyone!

I loved and devoured TJ’s first two books. Read working 24 hours, heart pounding, had to know what was going to happen.

This one…..I’m feeling a little disappointed. It was a good book! It had parts that made me want to read it, and I finished the last 45% in one afternoon. There was just something missing. Without spoilers, stuff started to go down, and I couldn’t help but think to myself that it was oddly similar to her other books.

It was still a great suspenseful read, but I felt like it could have had a little bit more. Maybe living in a nuclear town has tainted me a little bit on this topic lol

She has had a long successful career, and it was fun to learn more about her dancing and broadway background. She seems like someone who would be a great dinner guest, and companion over a cup of coffee.

She does talk about some sensitive subjects, like abortion and affairs, but as part of her story, I felt that she was very tactful in her delivery.

A fun a quick memoir read!

This book will be the perfect read for so many this fall, but it didn’t totally do it for me. I felt that the storyline wasn’t totally believable and that it was kind of annoying and boring at times.

I love the fake dating trope, it’s one of my favorites, but I don’t like when the people instantly fall in love and so it turns into secret dating. The whole instalove thing….

I appreciated that this book was closed door, and that the language was pretty minimal.

I live @ourfriendlyfarmhouse and every single one of her books. They are just literally perfection. 😍

This was such a fun story about a ghost writer, her agent, and being on the road together, all while trying to save her family’s legacy. This book is totally clean, and honestly reading like your favorite Emily Henry books. PLUS, it sounds like she’s currently in the works of getting her books turned into movies and I’m so excited!

If you’ve ever been worried about reading a Fredrik Backman book because you’ve seen that they’re emotional or something, I really think that this short story is the perfect thing to give him a try.

You get the emotion, the great characters and wonderful story in something you could binge in an hour.

Anyone else not able to see this book and not sing the song? lol

Another great Abby book, with lots of emotion and lovable characters. I will say that I felt like this one was missing something. It was SO emotional and a great read, but I didn’t fall for the main characters like I normally do.

I will also say that I felt like there was less romance in this one than normal….which is totally fine but I do feel like it played into maybe what was missing for a normal Abby book!

The book that literally took over the internet and everyone’s TBR. Another review of Onyx Storm 😅

Now. Before I say what I say, hear me out. I read the book, and I’ll continue to read the series. But man it took me forever. I don’t know if it was the fact that I read all three books in this series back to back to back, or if it’s because I’m pregnant, but I felt like it drug on at points.

I need an updated map. I need a full diagram of every character and language and dragon.

Will I remember any of what I read by the time the next book comes out? Absolutely not. Will I reread the series? Not in whole, but maybe this one.

A book that was a total spur of the moment purchase because I was thrown off by the cover and finally read the description…..lol

I usually go into books blind. And for some reason, when shopping at B&N in January and seeing this was the 2024 book of the year, I picked it up and read the back and was immediately like “I have to read this book.”

I’m glad I did, and I understand why it’s the book of the year. What an intriguing retelling and reimagining of a beloved character from a classic story. It was heart wrenching yet exciting and adventurous. A beautiful story.

If you need a fun, quirky, quick paced cozy mystery to read, than the Finlay Donovan series is for you. Since reading the first book back in 2021, I’ve recommended this series to so many people because it’s just that great!

Finlay and Vero are getting themselves into trouble again, this time with the help of their nosy neighbor. I liked this book more than the last few in the series and found myself chuckling again at just how silly it is at times. (Sometimes I think I could see me and my bestie being Finlay and Vero lol)

This book specifically made me want this series to be a TV series….anyone else see that?

Now. Everyone was saying this book was super spicy. Did it have spice? Yes, but not as much as I was expecting. Two major scenes with some make out sessions here and there.

This month’s book club pick definitely lived up to the hype everyone online was giving it!

This book was deep, and dark at times, but it was also funny and whitty and full of hope.

I loved watching Pheobe maneuver through the wedding people, eventually joining their crew and finding herself again after initially having different motives for herself.

Definitely a lot of adult themes in this book, but overall fairly clean and a fun read.

It’s Sarah Adams Day, and I think this might be my new favorite of all of her books 🙃🤭

Emily and Jack spoke to my soul in so many ways—their banter, the way they cared for each other and the people they loved, I loved all of it.

I felt like I saw myself in Emily, as the older sibling, as the people pleaser, as the fixer. I felt her pain in feeling like things always need to be perfect or needing to help everyone, but yourself. It felt good to be seen in a character, healing almost ❤️

This book will make you laugh, it will make you feel the feels. You’ll want to move to Rome, KY and make friends with this whole family.

Christina Lauren knows how to write a fun, captivating romance book, and they never seem to fail. This book is the perfect read for anyone who loves fake dating, messy rich families or Pretty Woman.

I loved both Anna and Liam as characters and found them to be honest, and have some depth to them. I’m not going to lie, some of this books was a bit too spicy for me (and spicer than I remember their other books being), but I binged over half of this book in just a few hours.

Definitely the perfect summer read!

For Kendra’s debut fiction novel, I really enjoyed this book. It was a raw, tough story touching on decisions, regrets, and how those can change your life. It was an interesting take on magical realism with a “sliding door” theory, which was an interesting take!

I picked up this book because funny story, I met Kendra’s sister on a mission trip over 15 years ago. We’ve stayed friends on social media, and she posted that her sister wrote a novel! I’m so glad that I picked it up because it was a beautifully written story, and I could feel Kendra’s own grief of losing a child in each page.

This book was clean, no spice and no language, and had very subtle Christian beliefs thrown in, but they didn’t take over the book. Kendra recently posted that she’s writing her second book, and I will definitely be picking that one up too!

One last trip to Inglewild. One last trip to Lovelight Farms. First time in a long time I teared up at the end of a book.

Charlie is the perfect sunshine, golden retriever boy, who just wants to be loved, and accepted by everyone he meets. Nova is your favorite grumpy girl, who also just wants to be loved. They’re a match made in heaven, but they just don’t know it. So why not be friends with benefits.

This book was SPICY. Way more spicy than I was expecting. I loved these characters but damn, they couldn’t keep their hands off each other. I loved how every character from previous Lovelight books were intertwined to this story in the most perfect way.

The narriators of this book did a great job bringing this story to life—they were able to get a lot of the sarcasm and humor done well. I wouldn’t say they are my favorite narrators, but they did a great job.

BK always does a wonderful job, and I’m sad this series is over. It was a wonderful ending

I started the book and thought I had it all figured out….I thought I was going to be disappointed. But ya’ll, the last few pages of this book. MY GOSH. I love a good twist. I love when I can’t figure out the twist right away. And this book really did have me guessing the entire time.

This is a great thriller to add to your TBR. If you don’t books about emotional and physical child abuse, I wouldn’t suggest it for you.
