Thank you to @lithoskids for this gifted copy of this BEAUTIFUL book for my kids 🥰 we loved every moment of it and can’t wait to jump into the next two.

Little Pilgrim’s Big Journey is an children’s illustrated rendition of John Bunyan’s timeless Christian tale, “The Pilgrim’s Progress”. My kids loved the engaging story and illustrations, plus the discussion questions at the end of each chapter.

We will definitely be continuing the series (as soon as our next copies show up)! Be sure to check out @lithoskids and all their beautiful books.

But proving her innocence might be an impossible feat. Vero was the treasurer of her sorority when the money went missing—one of the only people who had access to the cash. And her alibi is a date who ghosted her. With her court date quickly approaching, and her mysterious stalker on her tail, Vero needs to clear her name fast.

Finlay decides a trip to Maryland is in order. After all, Vero stood by her through her darkest moments, and Finlay will be damned if she lets her best friend and children’s nanny be convicted for something she didn’t do. She sets off on a mission to sus out the real thief and bring Vero home.

I honestly don’t even know where to begin other than this book was incredible. It was beautifully written and a story of love and redemption and imagination. It’s a story of a grandmother’s love, bringing joy and comfort to her granddaughter’s life, even after death. It’s a story of humanity, of imperfections, vulnerabilities and triumphs.

I sat and read some of the reviews on Goodreads about this book today, and saw so many people hating on this book, claiming they wanted more Ove. If you’ve read anything by Backman, you know that each story is so different and you won’t get the same feeling twice.

Perhaps this book meant so much to me because my grandfather, who passed just this last month, was my version of this grandmother. Someone who wanted to bring imagination and joy to my childhood. Perhaps I loved this book so much because I had that person, and maybe these people didn’t—I don’t know.

This is a tough story of grief and loss and love, but I truly think that if you have lost someone who brought joy into your life, this would be the perfect book to read and cry over while remembering your person.

I hope you’ll read this book, and when you do, I want you to immediately read Britt-Marie Was Here. You won’t regret either
