I’m eight-months postpartum after a C-section and easing back into movement intentionally 🤍

I had severe diastasis recti (deep separation of the abdominal muscles) that was borderline going to require surgery to correct. I’ve spent the last seven months working with an incredible pelvic floor therapist to heal my core before doing formal workouts. I could’ve rushed it. I wanted to rush it. I chose not to.

This season has taught me: rebuilding your foundation matters more than bouncing back (especially when your body has done something major).

No matter your season of life: I hope this reminds you that slow, intentional progress counts too. You’re doing amazing 🫶🏼

Oversize sweaters and leggings are a classic winter outfit for a reason, but I really love this combo for postpartum outfits as well. One way to elevate your oversized sweater is to choose one with bell sleeves or split hem the waist. A detail on your sleeves will try the eyes up where as a detail on the hips will dry your eyes down. Both are incredibly flattering.

The blouse is incredibly flattering and floaty and I recommend sizing down if you are between sizes. These jeans are my favorite for postpartum because they’re relaxed in the hips and legs, but create a defined waste without Being too tight.

What really goes on during nap time as a new mom every day I try to get my make up done and put on real clothes to feel like myself.
