Get ready with me to turn 26💖🎂🤍🫶🏼 I can not believe I am officially in my later 20’s. I am not kidding when I have to correct myself all the time from saying i’m 22 because my brain is stuck on that age! 🥲😂 Turning 26 felt different this year because it’s another reminder that time is FLYING by & the original plans I had for myself are still in the works and not HERE. If there’s something I’ve learned about myself up since the past year, it is that I need to learn to be content in the moment I am in. Stop & look at what The Lord has Blessed me with, all the grace i’ve received, & His overflowing love that pours on me. My goal is to have a VERTICAL life seeking God vs. a HORIZONTAL life of seeking things for myself. To have a vertical life means to always look UP towards The Lord & strive for HIS PLAN. It doesn’t mean you neglect your dreams or goals, but be more open & willing for changes & pivots as they come, leaning on God for his direction during the different seasons. It’s so easy for me to get caught up in my “whys” “when” “what ifs”. Something I really want to strive for this year & pray for is PATIENCE & WISDOM. I know God’s plan is better than mine so how can I not be excited?! “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
