What are your favorite places to visit in your own neck of the woods? Staycation - are people still using that? One of our favorite places, about an hour from West Des Moines is Pella. It’s a quaint Dutch inspired village in central Iowa. Every Spring they have the Tulip Festival where they celebrate Dutch heritage in the community with food, a parade, lots and lots of tulips, and much more. I’ve been going to Pella since I can remember, including that time in 6th grade when I got lost. I still don’t understand why the entire group wasn’t stopping to see the clock come to life!
