This is a fun craft to do for the holidays. A little hot glue and a simple spice and you can make any size or shape mini wreath you’d like!
I did two methods: glued the star points directly to each other for a more natural and less perfect circle. Then, cut a cardboard backing out of a macaroni box 😜 and glued the stars directly to the cardboard. This gives it a more uniform shape, just make sure you layer the points so it covers the cardboard. I added a couple in a second layer too for a bit more dimension.

You can loop these right onto your tree. But I like how they look with floral wire to hang them from, more like an ornament.

This is such a fun DIY and one you can do with the kiddos too!

Comment BUILD for the tools I use to build furniture pieces as a solo woman.

So often I hear people tell me they “could never.” But the only thing holding you back is not knowing the tricks to make it doable. This is one of the biggest tricks to be able to handle plywood as a solo woman. Don’t waste your money on a table saw (though it is a great tool in many situations). Instead, start with a smaller/safer blade and use a circular saw and this jig.

Safety tip: Make sure never to lift your saw out of the jig while the blade is still spinning.

Head to YouTube for loads of tutorials on how to build with pocket screws and kreg jigs and get to building!

Bells, ribbon and lighting are the perfect combo to add big impact with low effort to your Christmas decor. If you ever feel like a space is falling flat, add one (or all three) of these elements to instantly elevate it.

I like to use different color ribbon each year as I decorate for Christmas too. It’s an affordable way to update the look from year to year without having to buy new and bulky decor items. Pop a ribbon on your existing trees, reindeer, Santa’s sack, sleighs, or hang with your garlands for an instant pop of color.

Lighting can come in many ways (twinkle lights, globes, fairy lights…), but my favorite is taper candles in a window, wreath, on the tree or as a centerpiece. Even a single melting candlestick on the kitchen counter can add a cozy element.

And bells are just pure nostalgia. Any Christmas song we sing has some element of bells. But in addition to that cozy feeling, the metallic accents also reflect your lighting for an amplified glow.

If custom isn’t in your budget, make sure to place your rod at the height where the drapes just dust the floor, or are floating by 1/2 an inch.
