A topic about being CONFIDENT in public speaking at work has consumed me this weekend. I feel like in most of my adult life I have focused on my confidence and getting out of my shell but presenting/ speaking has always caused anxiety for me. Not sure if this had to do with English not having been a first language, the environment growing up where and women did not speak or just part of my personality. In my early teens I tried to open up only to be shut down, so I gave up and found calmness & solitude in reading and meditation 😭 Do you think that confidence can be learned overnight or a skill that takes time? What are some of your confidence tips?
