Aside from the usual items (computer and monitor), these are the 4 (okay, 5) essentials that help me stay focused while I work:
1. My vision board. I made mine and had it printed directly from @canva, and it helps me stay focused on MY big picture when my mind begins to wander. I’ve also had really good experiences with @canvasondemand.
2. My time cube. Even though I use the @forest_app on my phone, I keep it face down when I’m in a focused work session and prefer to use the time cube to see how much time I have left in my block.
3. This large @moleskine notebook, where I have my weekly brain dump (I do the week’s to-do list on a Sunday and block off the tasks in my calendar, but I like to keep the week’s plan out so I can cross off tasks as I finish them and add new ones as they come up).
4. I don’t know what it is about @hotellobbycandle’s Spa scent, but it locks me into focus mode. My workday starts with turning on the candle lamp and ends with turning the lamp off. Because it’s winter, I also have my seasonal affective disorder lamp and keep it on during the first few hours of my workday.

What I’m packing and traveling with these days:
- I’m loving my Béis carry on suitcase, which is excellent. Its built-in compression is better than comparable brands, I’ve used the expandable zipper for longer trips, and I love this gray color.
- Naghedi St Barth’s mini and medium bags in cashmere are just the best - at home, on the go. They are insanely roomy and nice enough for evening outfits or work meetings
- Been loyal to my Cuyana travel cases for almost a decade. I pack my toiletries in the large pouch and my makeup in the small pouch.
- I keep my Dagne Dover tech case in my large tote at all times - it carries all the chargers I need and mine has extra chargers strictly for travel/on the go

What I’m packing for an overnight trip to Charleston:

My airplane outfit is my favorite green set, sneakers with no-tie laces, and my favorite roomy tote.

For exploring the city, I’m wearing one of my trusty Nesara caftans (shopnesara.com, code HITHA for $10 off) with the same sneakers and socks and Naghedi crossbody bag.

For my evening event, I’m wearing this beautiful Abbey Glass dress with nude mules and a clutch.

I can’t recommend the Hotel Bennett more highly - gorgeous decor, immaculate service, an incredible spa, and the food is excellent.

Other CHS recommendations:
- visit the IAAM (just a 20 minute walk from the hotel)
- lunch at Virginia’s (I recommend the pimento cheese, and shrimp & grits with an egg on top)
- dinner at Ma’am Saab (the chicken tikka and the biryani are phenomenal)

Productivity tips for the overwhelmed/distracted/exhausted (like this post for future reference)
- pick a few items - a playlist, a scent, a beverage - to curate a work mode ritual. For me, its a nonfiction audiobook, a @Hotel Lobby Candle, and @Pique mint green tea. I start every workday by lighting the candle, making a cup of tea, and firing up the audiobook before I turn on my computer. This triggers my mind to get into work mode. - I couldnt get anything done without the Forest app, which basically locks me out of my phone for however long I set the timer (or else I kill a tree). Aggressive & effective.
- Plan the thing you WANT to do when work is over first - put it in the calendar and write out in detail what you want to do. When you have something to look forward to, you’ll plan your day and work more efficiently.
- Limit your to-do list as much as you can - 5 items is my magic number.

Your new summer hairstyle - Bridgerton hair.
- part your hair down the center and pull out small sections of hair to frame your face.
- secure hair back into a low bun or a French Twist
- use a curling iron or Airwrap (or in my case, the Airwrap attachment in my Dyson hairdryer - all linked) to curl the front pieces.
- brush out the curls with your fingers and apply a styling cream to keep your curls’ shape and your hair slicked back.
