I'm working on a story for AT right now about my favorite Friday night tradition — our at home date nights, where we set the table, make fancy cocktails, and attempt recipes with a few too many steps for a weeknight. And that inspired this modern setup with a few pieces the Alice Lane team sent me (Alice happened to be my Grandma Bien's name, which I love!). I used Alice Lane's gorgeous stacked candlesticks (which actually match the amber drinking glasses I usually use!) and the smoke glasses. These striking shades of amber and dark gray are perfect in our dark, moody condo and play perfectly against the one bright piece in the room — this painting we got in Mexico. I kept the rest of the table simple in blacks and whites, but brought in my gold flatware to tie in the warmth of the amber. Such an easy table, but dresses up a Friday night at home. Also, while I was setting this table up, I was listening to this week's episode of the Dear Alice podcast, which was a walk through design through the decades. It came in as a close second in my favorite series they've done, with the first being the holiday entertaining episodes late last year. Definitely give it a listen if you're a design and home enthusiast. @alicelanehome #AliceLaneHome #AliceLanePartner #vintagestyle #vintagehome #vintagefinds #eclecticdecor #dcbloggers #dcblogger #theeverygirl #createcultivate #dccreatives #dcstyle #blogger #lifestyleblogger #entertaining #interiordesignblogger #tablescape #athomestyle #apartmenttherapy #creativebusinessowners #creativeprofessional #creativelifehappylife #interiordesigner #interiordesign #interiordecorating #interiordesigndc #interiorsnapshot #edesign #lonnyliving #edesigner #LTKunder50
