Airport fit, but make it a little more thoughtful ✈️🤎

Comfort was obviously the assignment, but I also wanted pieces made with materials and practices I feel good about wearing. Here’s what I’m wearing:

This might be my favorite part. It’s made from 100% corn husk and somehow makes an airport backpack actually cute. It has adjustable backpack straps, tote handles and an interior drawcord, so she’s practical too.

The cardigan is soft, breathable and just elevated enough to make a travel outfit feel put together. 💎 Ana Luisa Pebble Necklace + Pebble Earrings: The little gold details that pull everything together. Ana Luisa prioritizes recycled metals when possible, including certified recycled gold and silver, works with audited suppliers, and tracks and works to reduce its carbon footprint. The Pebble necklace is also water resistant, tarnish resistant and hypoallergenic.

🍋 CARIUMA Lemon Curry Suede Sneakers: Because airport shoes need to be comfortable but I still want them cute. Pact has been one of my go to brands for organic cotton basics for years. I just grabbed new leggings for myself AND my daughters.

Most of their clothing is made with organic cotton or natural fibers, but I always recommend checking the fabric label because some pieces do contain synthetics, especially for stretch.

I also love their GOTS certified organic cotton, Fair Trade Certified factories, and more thoughtfully considered packaging.

Is every piece perfect? No, but Pact continues to be one of my favorite places for more accessible, lower tox closet swaps.

This may be my most questionable baking decision yet… 😏

Chocolate chip pecan cookies made with Kettle & Fire tallow.

Turns out, if you love tallow this is actually a very good decision. 🍪

Would you try baking with tallow?

Recipe ↓

• ½ cup Kettle & Fire tallow, softened
• ½ cup brown sugar
• ⅓ cup cane sugar
• 1 egg
• ½ tsp vanilla
• 1–2 tbsp cooled espresso
• 1¾ cups bread flour
• ½ tsp baking soda
• ½ tsp sea salt
• 1 cup date-sweetened milk chocolate chips
• ½ cup toasted pecans

1. Cream tallow and sugars.
2. Mix in egg, vanilla, and espresso.
3. Add flour, baking soda, and salt.
4. Fold in chocolate chips and pecans.
5. Chill dough 30 minutes.
6. Scoop onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
7. Bake at 350°F for 10–12 minutes.
8. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and enjoy.

My Toscano Soup 🍲❤️
Made a big pot of my version of Toscano soup for my mom while she recovers from knee replacement surgery.

✨ Ingredients:

* Unpeeled red potatoes, cubed
* Red onion, diced
* Hot Italian sausage
* Sweet Italian sausage
* Organic kale
* Chicken broth
* Heavy cream
* Freshly grated Parmesan cheese

✨ Directions:

1. Brown the hot and sweet Italian sausage in a large pot. Remove and set aside.
2. Sauté the diced red onion in the sausage drippings until soft.
3. Add chicken broth and cubed red potatoes. Simmer until the potatoes are tender.
4. Return the sausage to the pot and stir in the kale.
5. Add heavy cream and let everything warm through.
6. Finish with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and season to taste.
