This may be my most questionable baking decision yet… 😏

Chocolate chip pecan cookies made with Kettle & Fire tallow.

Turns out, if you love tallow this is actually a very good decision. 🍪

Would you try baking with tallow?

Recipe ↓

• ½ cup Kettle & Fire tallow, softened
• ½ cup brown sugar
• ⅓ cup cane sugar
• 1 egg
• ½ tsp vanilla
• 1–2 tbsp cooled espresso
• 1¾ cups bread flour
• ½ tsp baking soda
• ½ tsp sea salt
• 1 cup date-sweetened milk chocolate chips
• ½ cup toasted pecans

1. Cream tallow and sugars.
2. Mix in egg, vanilla, and espresso.
3. Add flour, baking soda, and salt.
4. Fold in chocolate chips and pecans.
5. Chill dough 30 minutes.
6. Scoop onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
7. Bake at 350°F for 10–12 minutes.
8. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and enjoy.

My Toscano Soup 🍲❤️
Made a big pot of my version of Toscano soup for my mom while she recovers from knee replacement surgery.

✨ Ingredients:

* Unpeeled red potatoes, cubed
* Red onion, diced
* Hot Italian sausage
* Sweet Italian sausage
* Organic kale
* Chicken broth
* Heavy cream
* Freshly grated Parmesan cheese

✨ Directions:

1. Brown the hot and sweet Italian sausage in a large pot. Remove and set aside.
2. Sauté the diced red onion in the sausage drippings until soft.
3. Add chicken broth and cubed red potatoes. Simmer until the potatoes are tender.
4. Return the sausage to the pot and stir in the kale.
5. Add heavy cream and let everything warm through.
6. Finish with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and season to taste.

Found this Ella + Mila set on Costco.com and suddenly I was having a full identity crisis over which color deserved a passport stamp ✈️
