Our backyard has become one of our favorite places to spend time as a family, and every detail was chosen with both beauty and longevity in mind.

One of the best decisions we made was using travertine for the pool decking. Not only does it give the space a timeless look, but it stays comfortable even during our hot Georgia summers. We paired it with a matte white pool tile for a clean, classic look that works beautifully with the architecture of our home.

When it came to furniture, we invested in all-weather wicker pieces from Pottery Barn, and they have exceeded my expectations. Between the full sun, wind, rain, and everyday use, they have held up incredibly well. The quality has been worth every penny, and I still love them just as much as the day they arrived.

I wanted this space to feel collected, relaxed, and built to last, and a year later, it's still exactly where you'll find us most evenings.

A few outdoor favorites from Wayfair that have been with us for a while and still look great.

Outdoor favorites from Wayfair that have truly held up over time.

On our back deck, we have two of these braided tan indoor/outdoor rugs, and honestly, I would buy them again. They’ve held up so well, are easy to clean, and still look great despite getting constant use (although they’re currently due for a cleaning).

Since our backyard gets full sun for most of the day and we don’t have any covering on the deck, multiple umbrellas are a must. These have held up incredibly well. They crank to tilt, provide plenty of shade, and the fabric has done great through all the weather and season changes.

These outdoor chairs are probably my favorite piece of outdoor furniture we own. They’re pricey but made to last, comfortable, and I love that they’re all weather wicker. They’re also heavy enough that I never have to worry about them blowing around every time the wind picks up.. which is saying something because we basically live in a wind tunnel.

Notice a theme? I’m always looking for pieces that can handle real life, hold up over time, and are easy to clean. Those are the things that make a purchase worth it for me.

Aesthetic and functional will always be my fave combo 🫶🏼

In our front entryway, every piece serves a purpose. The wicker tray adds texture while acting as a catch all, and the marble bowl helps keep smaller items organized. A decorative storage box hides all of those extra little things that tend to collect near the door.

The alabaster lamp is one of my favorite details because the base lights up, making it the perfect night light. The striped ottomans provide extra seating when needed and tuck neatly under this solid wood console table.

And my favorite FBMP find? The wicker trunk in the nook. It stores all of our shoes and was the perfect addition to this space.

My front entryway is officially styled for summer.

This solid wood console table in Sierra Rustic Natural has been one of my favorite pieces I’ve brought into our home. The wood tone is beautiful, the quality is incredible, and it provides the perfect spot for seasonal styling. I paired it with these striped ottomans tucked underneath for extra seating when we have guests over.

For summer, I kept things simple with cherry blossoms, a few travertine accents, and my favorite woven HomeGoods tray that adds so much texture. The alabaster lamp gives off the prettiest glow in the evenings and is one of those pieces that makes the entire space feel warm and inviting.

I always find myself coming back to natural materials, subtle patterns, and pieces that are both beautiful and functional. This little corner checks all the boxes. 🤍

The storage bed is one of my favorite pieces in the room. It lifts up to reveal a huge amount of hidden storage, which is perfect for extra bedding, pillows, and seasonal decor.

I also love these nightstands. They each feature three spacious drawers plus a decorative shelf, so they offer plenty of practical storage while still looking elevated.

I’ve been obsessed with this lip gloss lately (not sticky, just the perfect finish) and the whipped coconut SPF spray is one I actually remember to use — lightweight, smells so good, and makes reapplying easy.

I usually take my three goldendoodles to the groomer, but this has been perfect for the in between 🫶🏼

I’ve been using the Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day 3 in 1 Dog Shampoo and the Dog Deodorizing Spray in Sweet Chamomile. The shampoo cleans, conditions, and deodorizes in one step (which makes quick baths so much easier), and the spray is my go-to for a fast refresh after they’ve been outside.

They come in other scents too, but this one is such an easy everyday favorite.
