Wash day due in 3-2-1…✨ The easiest hair routine by FAR I’ve ever had!

Day 1: Wash & Roller Set (Wet Set under the hooded dryer 😉)
Day 2 - 7: Use @overnightblowout rods at night & wrap with a scarf. Take down each morning & GO!
Day 8: Had an event so I lightly touched up my edges/perimeter that had reverted a little. No major restyling though! Only products added through the week is heat protectant & hair spray - no oils or creams 🙏🏽

I’ve got a maintenance appointment with my hairstylist @oliviadavis.hair for a trim & treatment! I go every 8 weeks or so 😉✨

This little one has the cutest little coils! And fortunately for me, his hair doesn’t take 3+ hours like his siblings locs & twists 🤣🥰 #kidswashday #kidsnaturalhair #kidscurlyhair

I ditched braids with extra hair added, sew ins, wigs - for the past year and totally focused on building a #healthyhair routine as a #straightnatural and I don’t know if I’ve ever been more in love with my hair routine than now 😍

Yall my beloved hooded dryer took its last breath 30 minutes into my last roller set session 😭😭😭😭 RIP!!

But all was not lost because I whipped out my tried and true blowout brush from @hairitagebymindy to save the day. And she understood the assignment!!

I actually used to do this a lot when I was first tryin to figure out how long I needed to sit under the dryer for my hair to fully dry and what product combinations worked best for my hair type.

So if you ever find yourself in this situation or simply can’t stand sitting under the dryer any longer lol try this hack!

My favorite part of this #straightnatural journey has been exploring what products my hair likes when I do my roller set. This time I used the #pressplay system by @ilovethedoux!

As this pregnancy progresses, the more I am grateful we figured out a protective style for my daughter’s hair that requires the most minimal upkeep!!

But on days like this day, I almost didn’t make it the way my back was screaming by the end of it 🤣

The plan is to help her get to a point where I can roller set it and give her a trim in a month or two. That’s why I chose the #bondrepair line from @asiamnaturally for majority of this wash day and I really liked the products!

Being a straight natural means finding new tricks to keep my hair looking and feeling good without adding extra heat is ALWAYS an open tab in my brain!

I’m constantly testing out new products and this one has been in my hair cabinet for over a year and I keep reaching for it. It feels like a serum and you only need to add a pea-size to large sections of your ends/frizzy areas before rolling or putting your hair up at night. It works every time!!

Mama we made it 🥹 a morning hair routine that takes less than 5 minutes?!? Sign me up EVERY TIME!
