We got the postpartum bedroom nook done; now onto the bathroom! I know they hospital will give you a few things once you leave but for me, I’m planning a home birth and with my last 2 out of hospital births I’ve had to set myself up for postpartum.

Here are things that I HAVE to have in my bathroom (anticipating that I have no complications!)

1. Sitz Bath Spray (or an actual sitz bath with epsom salt and sitz bath herbs ready) I like this spray for an easy & quick option but highly recommend an actual sitz bath if you’ve got a lot of swelling and other discomfort going on down there 👀 a warm healing sitz bath is heavenly those first few days after birth!!

2. @fridamom Perineal Healing Foam - this stuff is soooo good and can be used generously on your pads or disposable underwear. I use this or Tucks Pads, honestly they both serve the same purpose in my opinion so grab either or, or both!

3. Premade or Homemade Pad-Sicles - I love these huge ones from @fridamom for convenience because I can keep a stack right at the toilet. Or you can totally make some for yourself (search for padsicle recipes on here or the other app/pinterest!) I’ve made those in the past but kinda inconvenient to have to grab from the freezer every time.

4. Disposable Underwear - you gotta have these!! These @fridamom ones are comfy and pair perfect with the instant ice maxi pads mentioned earlier or your own pads. There’s also some that have built in pads; just depends on your personal preference!

5. Dermaplast - IYKYK, okay?! Another go-to for immediate relief.

A gel + mousse combo is really undefeated!!! why did it take us all this long to put these two together?!

I know I’m not the only one who touches their hair a bit too much during the drying process! Then you end up with a “frizz spot” or areas that you wish you could just redefine real quick lol I love using the @livingproofinc instant diffuser spray for this! It’s actually similar to dry shampoo but it’s actually a dry conditioner! Have you tried this before or have other tricks that DON’T require rewetting & styling?
