Real Talk.
We’ve had a week of cluster feedings, comfort nursing, velcro baby, up all night and overwhelming mommy doubt. It’s been a mix of needing a break, but not wanting to put her down. Longing for the next milestone, but mourning the ever fleeting newborn stage.
I won’t come on here to glamorize any of it - it’s tough. This postpartum stage is not often talked about. The feelings of overwhelm and discouragement can oftentimes overshadow the blessings and the joy a new little life brings; it truly is a roller coaster.
My purpose of this post was to be a place of I encouragement. No matter what stage you may be in, whether you’re overwhelmed, feeling alone, or exhausted… maybe you’re struggling with depression, breastfeeding, a colicky baby or dealing with anxiety while trying to figure out a routine…. Mama, I want you to know you are NOT alone. You’re doing everything right. And you’ve got this!

Sunday was an eventful day.

We went to church as a family, and following that Pyper, Wesley, my Mom and I headed into Austin for Wesley’s first girls day out! We started at the CUTEST baby boutique @alexajamesbaby to shop for a few things for our tiniest girl. Then headed next door and grabbed an iced honey vanilla latte for me + the best chocolate chip cookies any of us have ever had at @tinysmilkandcookies 🍪🥛

Wesley did so good, so we let Pyper pick a lunch spot before making one last stop, and grabbing a baby swing for Wes, then heading home for a much needed nap 🤍 Sundays are quickly becoming my favorite day of the week, and it was such a sweet way to celebrate our first week back to school for the “bigs” 🤍

Today was a GOOD day! The big kids were both finally back at school, everyone is feeling better, so Mama & Elliott decided to get out, explore a bit and make it a day of play! Let’s talk products •
I get asked pretty regularly what my go-to favorite products are for makeup & hair, so I thought I’d link some of my EVERYDAY grabs here for you all! (Starting from the left)
1. Smashbox Contour Palette.
I’ve used many over the years that I like - but this is my most recent favorite. It’s so versatile & I love the matte or shimmer options they give you for your bronzer and highlight!
2. Anastasia Beverley Hill Brows.
This is a BIG one. It’s the most important step to me - my brows. I use the brow wiz pencil to outline and fill in (if needed) and then the powder duo does the rest.
3. Dermablend translucent settling powder.
I put this all over my face as a last step to set my makeup for the day! I love this one bc it gives a flawless look!
4. Thrive Causmetics Mascara.
This mascara is EVERYTHING! It doesn’t leave you looking clumpy, & it gives your lashes amazing length! What more do you need, right?!
5. It Cosmetics CC Cream.
I switch back and fourth on foundations - But if I’m wanting a fuller coverage I choose this one. It gives a seamless photo finish when paired with the setting powder listed above!
6. Bumble and Bumble Prêt-à-Powder Dry Shampoo.
This is a dry shampoo powder that also lifts and extends the life of your style - basically... it’s magic. This is every moms DREAM come true. It doesn’t leave you looking or feeling greasy (like I’ve found so many others do!) if you haven’t tried this one yet - do it!
7. Lastly is my FAVORITE curling wand. Hot Tools makes this one! Perfect size for a variety of lengths and styles!! It’s the best.
