Do you have happy feet? This is my second pair of @wolky_northamerica sandals. I absolutely love walking in these shoes! They are a must for vacations. I learned this year that not only have I been wearing my shoes for too long (my last pair of Wolky's I finally stopped wearing this summer after 10 years!!)...but I was probably wearing the wrong fit. I ended up in severe foot pain from wearing my shoes for too long. (The manufacturer suggests 6 months- 1 year of regular use.) Then my ankle started bothering me. One of the reasons I love #wolky sandals is because of the adjustable fit! You can adjust the strap around the toes as well as the strap around the ankle for a customized f it for your foot! Poor fitting shoes can cause a wide range of problems such as bunions, calluses, stress fractures, and more. (I knew someone to get stress fractures from cheap shoes.) Get your feet measured (Mine are slightly different sizes.) However, sizes can differ from brand to brand of shoe so size is just a suggested guide. Match the shoe to your activity too. The shoe needs to be flexible to match your , have a firm sole that doesn't twist easily, and proper arch support. I love that the arch supports in these sandals are removable and you can even re-order the arch supports if need be. If I am educated correctly, the arch support/inner sole will mold to your foot. I did have to get custom orthotics this year to wear in my sneakers and boots. Custom orthotics by a pediatrist are only for specific foot disorders (my second toe's bone is too long, and thus why I ended up with pain - not to mention I roll my feet outward, and this shoe prevents that.) A tip is to replace the inner sole of your shoes with a high-quality off-the-shelf orthotic that can be purchased at a local medical supply store.
