It’s been a while since I stayed up way too late pretending to be a nail technician. 🤪 Sometimes de-stressing by getting “lost in something creative” ....means an audiobook and doing my nails for far too long.

The theme for these nails is... shoulda edited. Lol 😆 I knew I wanted a tartan-ish feel, but (as always) I had no idea what I was doing. Each nail was its own experiment. Haha. As always, I have a favorite and one I’ll hide every time I look at my hands. Blech. Can you guess which is which?!

Choose your own adventure... quilt edition. Obviously the idea needs some fleshing out, but here are the 🥜 and 🔩 of what I’m thinking.

You all will determine basically everything about a special quilt: from the pattern to the colors to the fabrics to the quilting to the binding to the backing.

Month of December. And get even *more* crazy: we auction off the final quilt for one of my favorite charities, @upstreaminternational (follow them if you don’t already!) Cherry on top: quilt will be named by/after the winning bidder!

I created a rule for myself when it comes to my nails: I can only choose coral and white every other time. Because let’s be honest, I’d happily stay in my coral-rut forever and ever amen. 🙌🏼 // I love that this self-enforced rule is pushing me creatively, but I’m also reeeeeally happy when I’m “allowed” to pick a coral polish. 😜🤩🥳 // Had to do these quickly, so working on my line skills with some simple designs. I got a bunch of questions about my nails yesterday, so I thought I’d compile my favorite at-home gel nail supplies. I usually go 2-3 weeks without a chip. 💅🏼💯 I cannot go without mentioning that I am TERRIBLE at painting my nails with traditional nail polish, but gel is much more forgiving - and dries ASAP with the light! One of the reasons we decided to homeschool this year was the ability to savor mornings together without the chaos of rushing out the door. Last week we started our Bible time together after breakfast, followed by quiet reading while I get Lucia down for a nap. Both kids finish breakfast yelling BIBLE! And piling on the couch. (I linked the Bible we love!) I am amazed, but not surprised, by the way it sets the mood for our day. I hit my thirties and decided about ten years too late that I needed to take better care of my skin. I also broke out horribly through the first two trimesters of this pregnancy!
