I am personally allllll about the sparkle. And not just sparkle in your wardrobe, sparkle in your LIFE! The thing I've found is that "sparkle" to me is like the cherry on top of all good situations. Whether we want to admit it or not, while the holidays evoke endless amounts of cheery emotion, one aspect that seems to jolt just about all of us single holiday goers is the thought oflove. I’m with you friends! But I have ALSO found some amazing ways to be extra disciplined this season. Instead of advice, on the blog this week I’m giving you guys my 5 new rules about how to truly embrace this season SINGLE and love it fully and completely!

A few last notes on how to survive being single during the holidays:
👉🏻Don’t tell yourself you aren’t good enough. You are fully worthy, beyond worthy in fact.
👉🏻Remind yourself of thebeautyof singleness. I promise you, singleness can actually be a gift if you choose to see it as such.
👉🏻Choose JOY as much as possible. Life has enough hardships, don’t let being single steal another second of the joy that comes from celebrating this beautiful time of year!
👉🏻Do as much as you can to be in community and enjoy the company of friends and family around you. This season only has to be lonely if you allow it to be!

The FUNNY part about that is, I love this outfit and i LOVE dressing up, but alas in my new life as an entrepreneur I’m lucky if some days i get out of my robe. TRUE STORY. I️’ve actually worn down the one pair of leggings I have SO badly that they not have giant holes in them... and I STILL wear them. I have to say, when I was in corporate life I NEVER thought I’d embrace athleisure and makeup-less days as much as I do now. 😬

Heartbreak: Redirection VS Rejection

TODAY on the blog I pour out my heart and dive into talking about a topic that is SO relevant and crazy near to my heart right now… that is the topic of rejection,and specifically rejection in heartbreak! 💔
•
How many of you have experienced heartbreak in one way shape or form? 🙋🏼It is no exaggeration to say that when heartbreak hits, a waterfall of emotions, feelings, and thoughts come pouring over us… usually in the form of rejection 🙅🏼:a dark space that corrupts our hope and replaces truths with hopeless lies saying that God doesn’t really have a good plan for us.
•
So HOW do we shift our mind to see the GOOD in heartbreak when the walls all around us are crumbling? How do we experience a renewed hope for our future? How do we shift our view to see rejection as REDIRECTION?
•
Today on the blog I share intimately about my recent heartbreak, and how it so deeply hurt me. When this immensely great relationship ended, I found myself fighting against the thoughts of rejection with ALL of my might. After all, I was planning on marrying this man so to have it end so suddenly felt like my entire world was crashing down. Sound familiar to anyone?
Through this heartbreak and pain, I was able to embrace some KEY revelations that helped me to transform my heart’s ability to turn rejection into a comfort of redirection. [praise JESUS!] 🙌🏻

So if you know anyone going through heartbreak that needs encouragement, THIS post is for you, or for them! ❤️ it was definitely a difficult one for me to write, but I am excited for how the Lord may want to use this to provide further encouragement and healing to those experiencing painful rejection and heartbreak.

Are you surprised?! Probably not! I was very intrigued by how much time we spend as a culture on social media and read up on some prettyyyy eye opening statistics below [be prepared to gasp!].

👉🏻An average of 2 hours a day is spent on social media, which translates to 5 years and 4 months over a lifetime * [GASP # 1!!!]
👉🏻30% of time online is now spent on social media * [GASP # 2!!!]
👉🏻Time spent on social media daily outweighs eating, grooming AND socializing [approximately 3 years and 5 months]!!! *[GASP # 3!!!]

EMBRACE the PAIN! // earlier this week on the blog.... and that's right, you heard me correct! When we embrace the pain + hardship in our life + choose to face it rather than run from it we can actually press forward in victory. Darkness will not succeed if we invite the light in. Indeed, the more positive, life giving light we let in, the brighter our future becomes. I love in first John 1:4 that it says:
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” 1 John 1:5
Let God be your refuge + your strength during this time of hardship. Let Him embrace you + be your ever-present help in this time of trouble + hurt. Do not fear that there is no way out of the darkness, because God is within YOU + you will NOT fall. He is your fortress of your protection + the ultimate guider of your every step. Find rest knowing that this word is FOR YOU in this time of pain + confusion. Tonight I did something I've never done before. Tonight I went to the movies ALONE! The epic @heartofmanmovie was out for ONE night in theatres! Individuals with an abundance mentality can share in the JOY of success for others, while stopping their brains from comparing themselves to the so-called “winner of the pie”. In fact, there is no longer just ONE winner of the pie. In this mentality there are many pies + many pieces of pies, so in essence we all win in our own way [Does anyone ELSE want pie as much as me I do right now?!]. Living in ADUNDANCE // coming in HOT 🔥❤️ today on Madly Mignon in partnership with @shopreddress [this dress is UNDER $40!]! Do you ever find yourselves on Instagram scrolling through + seeing a ton of perfectly posed photos, or someone on the most exotic vacation imaginable with their beautiful little family all whislst having a six pack [after having multiple kids I might add…]? But even more than having stunning physical terrain, this country has something so much more incredible than just gorgeous countryside. It has people. It has incredibly diverse, uniquely made, driven + passionate people....325.4 million [+ counting] to be exact! We all know that the U.S. is a melting pot of different cultures all in one... but what is SO incredibly great about that is each different culture that comes to the U.S. brings their distinct cultural heritage + traditions to this country. This translates into a culture full of different traditions, heritages, backgrounds, quirks, + intricacies.
