As a working momma, with two jobs, one of which is growing our community here on Balancing By Design, I sometimes feel guilty about my choice to hustle. I’m blessed that I can work on this community (and my other job!!) virtually quite often but know that it sometimes comes at the expense of me being on my phone at nights and weekends when I could be spending more 1:1 time with Adelaide. Rachel Hollis’ new book, “Girl, Stop Apologizing” has really flipped that concept in my head; regardless of what we do as mommas - be it taking time to work out, to work in your job, to work on a new business, or even just to take time for yourself, we have got to re-think how we frame it. Taking care of yourself, and working on things that inspire and jazz you up, make you a better version of yourself. And I want my baby to see that. I want her to know hard work, true balance and give and take, and be inspired by her momma and daddy on how she too can create the life she wants if she is focused on it. Anyone else sometimes experience this conflict? What do you think?? http://liketk.it/2AM6D #liketkit @liketoknow.it Follow me on the LIKEtoKNOW.it to get a copy of her book!
