Today is the first Monday of the new year, that I haven’t had to work a full time job. (The first time since I passed the bar anyway 😆). It’s the first Monday I get to wake up and hang with my kids without the weight of job responsibility. 🙌🏻 I’m so freaking thankful for my jobs, my incredible bosses who employed me, trusted in me, allowed me to help support my family, and taught me so much. But for this chapter of my life, this season of young babies, it required a shift. A shift in order to spend more time with them. Ps. I also understand how huge of a privilege this is. One I’ve worked years to get too and I promise I won’t take for granted. 🤍 So what did we do today you ask? We had a play date with friends, we played a ton, I read my book while they napped, folded laundry, and cleaned. It was freaking awesome. It’s the first Monday of the new year. Do you feel it? The anticipation? The possibilities? Happy new year, happy new Monday. 2022, let’s do this. 💪🏻
Well fam, we made it through the week 🙌🏻 • So far we’ve all managed to avoid hand, foot, and mouth. 🙏🏻 • We got ready for the day (even if it was at 3pm). • Lucy only has 1 blister left 🤞🏻 So thankful for the calls, the dinner drop offs, and the support. We’re surviving not thriving but we’re making it ❤️

On average, how many cups of coffee is it taking you to survive lately? First week in a big girl bed ✔️ I know what you’re probably thinking, get over it kristen, it’s not a big deal. But it is! This is a huge milestone in her sweet little life. A transition from a crib to the bed she’ll sleep in for the foreseeable future. I know it may seem weird to make a big deal out of a big girl bed, but it’s more than that. She’s my first baby and her milestones are a big deal! We’re so quick to downplay these kind of moments. I even got DMs saying i was “funny i was acting so excited.” We’re told this narrative all the time as moms. Don’t make a big deal, why spend money on a birthday party she won’t remember, this memory is for you, blah blah blah. Like the act of celebrating our KIDS is bad? Well, I hope she learns from me to make a big deal out of things. Big girl beds, birthdays, celebrating a friend, loving on her sister. I hope she celebrates big and feels things BIG. I know she’ll be bigger than life. And I hope for her entire life she celebrates the big things and the little things. And if me, celebrating her big girl bed encourages her to do that, than I’ll keep celebrating all these milestones. Even if people think I’m crazy. 🤍🤍 #LTKkids #LTKfamily
First, let’s be clear, post Lucy, my skin has only looked good because of my IG filters. Lucy wrecked my skin. Because of that, I’ve been on a mission towards better skin. These are three products I’m currently obsessed with. 1️⃣ Kiehls Micro-Dose Anti-Aging Retinol Serum. I’ve never used retinol before so I was a little hesitant but this pure retinol serum helps to visibly reduce wrinkles, firm skin, even skin tone, minimize pores, and smooth texture. Plus it doesn’t mess with my super sensitive skin. Bless. 2️⃣ Kiehls Ferulic Brew Rejuvenating Facial Essense. I use this morning and night before my moisturizer and it helps skin appear smoother, more even, and fine lines will be noticeably reduced. 3️⃣ Laura Mercier Setting powder. Honestly, I’ve used this setting powder for YEARS. This 👆🏻 is the best part of being a mama 💜 the part I was prepared for. But one thing they don’t prepare you for is how your heart will break when you see your babies hurting. Whether it’s a scrapped knee or ear infections, GI specialists, RSV - no one preps you for how you will feel when you see them hurt. Real talk- not looking for sympathy because let’s be real, as mamas, it’s just part of our gig. I’m just here to remind myself and you, that we’re doing the very best by our babies. So call your mama, or your best friend, or your MIL, cry, get it out, and the go squeeze your littles. There will be good days and there will be hard days, but all of them are days we get to spend with our babes. 🖤 #LTKkids #LTKbaby #LTKfamily
