One piece of advice I told ALL my design clients! However, I do know how hard it is to wait on doing SOMETHING. So these are a handful of things that I would do while settling in to a new space and deciphering which big project to start next… I would: Paint – painting is a low budget project that can be done in a day or over a long weekend and has an instant transformation that will tie you over while in that waiting period. Adding wall textures – these are especially good to add in hallways or bathrooms or bedrooms that you know are there to stay. I love a good picture frame molding or recessed paneling. Both are such timeless and classic looks that will stand the test of time. Adding wall art -create little vignettes throughout your home, adding wall art. This creates an instant coziness factor and is an easy one to swap out later should that corner change to something else in the future. Shop secondhand – find pieces that you aren’t spending an arm and a leg on whether that’s through Facebook marketplace, antiquing, or Thrifting. This will make getting through that waiting process, even easier by giving you a little bit of a “mini project” in the searching of the perfect find! Are you in this season of life right now?! If you are let me know in the caption below what has been the hardest part of this journey!
