Day 10 of Whole30 and while parts of this have been hard, adjusting to a new routine, meal planning, making separate meals for my kids, skipping restaurants, etc. 😅…it has also been incredibly eye-opening. ✨ More than anything, I’ve realized exactly where my cravings live: a sweet drink or treat 🍫🥤 and a few salty snacks 🥨. It’s been surprisingly hard not to reach for those things. Dang habits! 🤪 Days 7-8 were definitely the hardest for me for some reason. I felt like I could not stay full, was constantly craving sugar and carbs 🍞🍪, and honestly started to feel discouraged because I still had not noticed a real difference in my gut. I was still feeling super bloated. 😩 But then I read that this can actually be really normal when you switch to eating more fiber, fruits, and vegetables 🥦🍎. Your body needs time to adjust, and sometimes that adjustment can temporarily make the bloating worse before it gets better. But today…I woke up feeling noticeably less bloated, less inflamed, and for the first time I could actually see a visible difference in my stomach. 🙌🏼 So while I still have a ways to go, I’m feeling encouraged to keep going and hopeful that I’ll finally get some answers. 🤍 In the meantime, I’m learning new ways to make my afternoon drink still feel a little indulgent, because apparently that 3pm treat is deeply embedded in my soul. ☕️🤣 - whole30journey whole30life guthealthjourney whole30results healthylifestylejourney
