I have a feeling so many of us are longing for this, even if we don’t quite have the words for it.

A life that is slower. Gentler. More grounded.
A life where loving Jesus matters more than being admired. Where beauty is tucked into the ordinary... open windows, soup simmering on the stove, creaky wood floors, lamp glow at dusk.

Where success is measured less by how much we accomplish and more by how fully we show up.

I want to raise children who know how to look people in the eye, entertain themselves, spend their days outside, and understand there is a whole world beyond a screen.

I want a home that feels warm and well-loved. One filled with old recipes, family traditions, thrifted treasures, and the kind of closeness that stays long after the kitchen has been cleaned up.

For a long time, I thought I was supposed to want more. More success. More recognition. More of whatever everyone else seemed to be chasing.

But the older I get, the more I find myself drawn to a quieter kind of life... one that may not look impressive to the world, but feels deeply beautiful to me.

Day 10 of Whole30 and while parts of this have been hard, adjusting to a new routine, meal planning, making separate meals for my kids, skipping restaurants, etc. 😅…it has also been incredibly eye-opening. ✨

More than anything, I’ve realized exactly where my cravings live: a sweet drink or treat 🍫🥤 and a few salty snacks 🥨. It’s been surprisingly hard not to reach for those things. Dang habits! 🤪

Days 7-8 were definitely the hardest for me for some reason. I felt like I could not stay full, was constantly craving sugar and carbs 🍞🍪, and honestly started to feel discouraged because I still had not noticed a real difference in my gut. I was still feeling super bloated. 😩

But then I read that this can actually be really normal when you switch to eating more fiber, fruits, and vegetables 🥦🍎. Your body needs time to adjust, and sometimes that adjustment can temporarily make the bloating worse before it gets better.

But today…I woke up feeling noticeably less bloated, less inflamed, and for the first time I could actually see a visible difference in my stomach. 🙌🏼

So while I still have a ways to go, I’m feeling encouraged to keep going and hopeful that I’ll finally get some answers. 🤍

In the meantime, I’m learning new ways to make my afternoon drink still feel a little indulgent, because apparently that 3pm treat is deeply embedded in my soul. ☕️🤣

I was trying to figure out how to give our old headboard new life because honestly…it had gotten downright gross 😅

So I started looking for a new one and nearly fell over. Every headboard I loved was somewhere between $1,500-$4,000 and there was just no way.

Then one day I looked over at this $19 Amazon tablecloth I’ve had for years, the one that somehow gets softer and prettier with every wash, and thought…what if I just covered the headboard with it?

One impulsive thought later and suddenly the bed was apart, I had a staple gun in my hand, and there was no turning back 🤪 That’s usually how things go around here.

And honestly? It ended up being one of my favorite projects we’ve ever done. It gave our bedroom so much more character, saved us thousands, and was shockingly easy.

I am truly the least qualified person to give houseplant advice… and yet somehow this grape ivy has decided to thrive in spite of me 🤪

I brought her home from my favorite nursery two years ago and have basically done everything wrong ever since. Same pot, no new soil, no plant food, and a deep water about once a month if I remember 😬

And somehow? She’s quadrupled in size.

So when I found this oversized pot at HomeGoods, I figured she had at least earned an upgrade. New pot, fresh Miracle-Gro soil, and she is absolutely loving her new home.

Also, my husband knows my love language. A cold Poppi while I repot plants = true romance ☺️

Whole 30 Approved Breakfast! 🥚🍳🍅🧅

We’ve been doing everything to stay on top of healthy meals, and we have found that this is one of those recipes that is fast and yummy and stays good in the fridge too!

Here’s the recipe:

•7-8 eggs
•salt & pepper to liking
•1/2 onion
•1/2 pepper
* Add a splash of coconut milk or almond milk for additional fluffiness

Directions:
• Dice and sauté your onions and peppers
• Use a cupcake pan that you have lightly greased with extra-virgin olive oil and add sautéed peppers and onions to each cup
• in a separate bowl add all your eggs and seasonings plus milk and stir well
• pour the egg mixture into each cupcake pan (a little over halfway full).
• Bake at 400° for 20 to 25 minutes

Our entry inspo!

I was trying to figure out how to give our old headboard new life because, honestly, it had reached the point of being downright gross 😅 I started looking at new headboards and was absolutely shocked. Every one I loved was somewhere between $1,500-$4,000 and I simply could not justify it.

Then one day I looked over at this $19 Amazon tablecloth I’ve had for years, the one I’ve always loved because it’s 100% linen and somehow gets softer and prettier with every wash, and thought…wait a second. What if I just covered the headboard with fabric?

Truly, that one little thought sent me spiraling in the best way. Before I knew it, the bed was taken apart, I had a staple gun in my hand, and there was no turning back 🤪 That’s pretty much how things tend to go around here.

And honestly? It ended up becoming one of my favorite projects we’ve ever done. It gave our bedroom so much more character, saved us thousands of dollars, and was shockingly easy.

My whole family LOVED these Whole30-approved meatballs… and honestly, I think they may be going into our regular dinner rotation 😍 They were flavorful, easy to make, and even my kids ate them without complaining (which feels like a small miracle 🤪).

If you’re doing Whole30 or just looking for a healthier dinner that still feels cozy and comforting, save this recipe for later!

• 1 lb grass-fed ground beef
• 1/2 lb ground pork (or use all beef)
• 1 large egg
• 3 tbsp almond flour
• 3/4 tsp sea salt
• 1/4 tsp black pepper
• 1 tsp onion powder or 1/2 small onion, minced
• 3/4 tsp garlic powder or 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 tsp Italian seasoning
• Pinch of crushed red pepper
• 1 tbsp minced fresh parsley or basil (optional)
• 1 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
• 24–32 oz Whole30-compliant marinara sauce (I used Rao’s)

Directions:
Mix together the beef, pork, egg, almond flour, and seasonings. Roll into meatballs. Heat oil in a skillet and brown the meatballs on all sides. Add marinara sauce, cover, and let simmer until cooked through, about 20–25 minutes.
