When you have a budget to stick to but expensive taste, you learn how to make the most of what you have.

For my daughter’s nursery, I wanted a dresser that looked custom and high-end without the custom price tag, so I gave this IKEA dresser a makeover.

I used 3/8 in x 1 1/4 in x 7 ft unfinished pine wood stop from to frame out the drawers and the sides of the dresser. I cut them to size using my miter saw. If you don’t have a miter saw, buy a pair of multi angle miter shears and that will do the job. I attached them to the dresser with wood glue. I then filled and caulked. I applied two coats of primer and followed up with two coats of paint.

Some Amazon outfits I got recently that I’m loving!

First is this workout dress, which is so cute! It has shorts underneath and is so incredibly flattering.

Second is this beach cover up! I accidentally ordered a large but I do like that it’s oversized.

Third and fourth are these gingham pieces! Me + gingham 🤝 both of these come in several colors, too!

I ordered small in everything but the beach cover up and for reference I am 5’4” and 120 lbs.

I don’t know about you, but cleaning out flower pots at the end of the season is one of my least favorite tasks..

A few years ago, I started lining my planters with contractor trash bags, and I’ve done it every year since!

It makes clean up so much easier. You can simply pull everything out at once and dispose of it.

One thing to note! I highly recommend using contractor bags. They are thicker and are more heavy duty. I imagine with regular trash bags, the drainage holes may get larger over time causing the soil to come out the bottom and that sort of defeats the purpose!

I had my eye on this console table for years before I finally pulled the trigger and I’m so glad I did! I ended up buying it last year during on of the sales and it’s on sale again!
