Before I installed this mural, I showed it to a friend over lunch. She looked at it and said “yeah, I don’t think I could pull that off…” and that’s how I knew I was on the right track! Kidding aside, it’s ok to be bold, be weird, take a risk if it suits you. Mix patterns. I brought more pattern in to this room with a vintage plaid flannel throw and the gorgeous Oushak rug gifted by @greenfrontrugs. It’s my favorite kind of update; it’s not permanent but the new elements bring out different tones in the mural and make the room feel fresh.
