One of my favorite parts of summer living on the coast is collecting shells & bringing a little piece of those beach days back home with me. After seeing my friend Stephanie use candle sand, I instantly started thinking about how I could create my own cottage coastal version. A few locally collected oyster shells, candle sand, & wicks later, this simple summer centerpiece came to life. The oyster shaped tray was handcrafted by a local potter, & I completely fell in love with it the moment I saw it. It felt like the perfect piece to pair with treasures collected along our Carolina coast. I love finding ways to think outside the box with decorating, especially when the pieces tell a story. And if you’re not visiting the coast this summer, don’t worry. I’ve found some shells for you friend. 🤍 LTKHome LTKSeasonal
