We carved out a little sitting space inside our primary bedroom… and this piece made it feel like its own room. ✨

This arched console from @hernest anchors our mini living room with warmth, character, and that collected cottage charm I’m always drawn to. The curved glass doors feel architectural, the wood tone adds depth against our soft walls, and the storage keeps this space calm and uncluttered.

I didn’t want our bedroom to feel like just a place to sleep. I wanted it to feel layered. Lived in. Designed.

Now this corner feels like a quiet retreat for slow mornings, evening tea, and winding down after long days.

Our parlor is slowly finding its rhythm, one layered detail at a time. Designed for everyday living, not a themed moment, but a room that feels collected, lived in, & quietly intentional.

Even though we live at the beach, I am not drawn to coastal decor everywhere. This space, though, asked for it. The blue walls set the tone, & from there the softer coastal touches just made sense. Woven textures, aged brass, shells mixed with books, florals.

The wall color is Storm Chaser by Magnolia Home, which I get asked about often, & it continues to be one of my favorite paint choices in our home. It grounds the room while letting the lighter details breathe.

More layers & finishing touches are coming, but for now, here are a few quiet peeks as this room continues to come together, slowly & thoughtfully, just the way I love to design. 🤍 Happy weekend friend! xo, Krystle

Series three of our primary bedroom makeover & this one is all about lighting as design.

I found these bronze cast iron sconces from @decorsteals & instantly knew they were meant to live on either side of our bed. They bring that old world charm, collected cottage elegance, & a softness that makes the room feel finished without feeling heavy. And the best part… they are battery operated with a remote, which means no hard wiring, no wall damage, & no hesitation to design boldly.

This room has been such a slow layering of intention. First the antique farmhouse mantel. Then the moody floral wallpaper. And now these sconces that glow like they have always belonged here.

This is how you transform a builder grade bedroom into something that feels romantic, timeless, & deeply personal. One thoughtful choice at a time.
