WINTER SKIN BOOST.
As expected, my skin has started to look a little dull over winter. It happens every year so I have a few bits in my kit to help brighten and hydrate. One being The Ordinary Peeling solution mask. I used this the other night and it seemed to give me a bit of a boost. It’s a 10 minute exfoliating treatment that improves texture and appearance. It’s a bit tingly so if you have sensitive skin it might be a little too irritating but for everyone else, it’s a pretty good little product. Especially since it’s under £10!

VITAMIN C

Protects -We live in a polluted world, Because of this we need to protect our skin from free radicals, pollution

Potency is a big deal when it comes to Vitamin C, you ideally want to be looking for a 10-20% concentration to receive the best results over a shorter period of time. L-Ascorbic Acid is an ingredient I like to keep away from UV light. When it is exposed to UV light, it can reduce the potency of the product leaving is pretty useless. To prevent this from happening, I make sure my Vitamin C is well sealed and kept in a dark place.

This one from La Roche Posey is not the strongest in potency however I really like using it on my skin.

Biolumin C Serum from Dermalogica; a high-performance Vitamin C-infused serum that work’s with skin’s own defenses to brighten and firm the complexion.
As I actually use retinol most evenings, this is something I like to apply in the morning after cleansing. With Vitamin C serums,you want to be looking for a potency if 10-15%. I have searched dermalogica a website and not yet come across this information however, I have noticed this serum contains lactic Acid (among other fab ingredients) The moisturising serum works to accelerate cell turnover, neutralise skin after oxidation and defend against harmful aggressors.
Although I have only been using this for about a week I can already see how much brighter my skin in. I will of course be using for around 6 weeks before posting a full review on my blog. So far, so good though.

Inspired by K-Beauty (Korean beauty) @lorealskin have developed a gel moisturiser. This reminds me of Holidays for some reason, maybe it’s the fresh aloe Vera fragrance. I’m grabbing this each morning after using my serums for a shot of hydration in the outer layers of my skin (epidermis) this is really great for normal / dehydrated / combination skin types as it contains aloe Vera & hyaluronic Acid (my favourite ingredient)
