We’re back with part 3 of my ladies tea party & croquet spring gathering with a behind-the-scenes look at the setup the morning of the event.

The gold tea pot I used in my centerpiece was a wedding gift from a friend who thrifts/antiques, but happened to find the exact set on Etsy.

Welcome to my hosting series, “Celebrating with Summer”, where we celebrate milestones, holidays, and “just because” things that make life feel a bit more special.

Some friends of mine recently shared how they’ve never played croquet before & since I grew up playing, I felt spring would be a great time to teach them.

I figured if we’re going to play croquet, why not make it a whole thing with dressing up, wearing a cute hat or fastener, & having a tea party? I mean, why not be extra when you get a chance to, am I right?

The day before the event, I ran my errands for flowers, ingredients for a dessert I was making, & Spindrifts (the Nojito’s are my favorite). After unloading the car & putting the flowers in water, I went outside to set up for croquet.

This chocolate brown trench coat arrived on my porch today & it is even better than I expected! It’s high quality, fully lined, wind & water resistant, & super chic.

It’s a 10 out of 10 for me. Love it! They also have it in the classic beige.

For reference, I’m 5’4” wearing a size medium petite.

I can’t say enough good things about the mattress. We’ve had it almost a year now & would 100% buy it again and again. Best decision ever!

Also, our rug is one of my favorite things about the room. The colors are perfection & it’s really soft under foot.

Welcome back to part 2 of setting up for my 2026 Galentine’s party!

I started with setting up a Galentine’s photo backdrop using heart balloons I found on Amazon (linked below), using the straw it came with and an electric balloon pump to save my lungs. Then taped them in a row by color, saving one out for a cute photo prop. I find people don’t know what to do with their hands in pictures, so props help.

Lastly, I set out the food & bingo Valentine’s prizes before guests began to arrive.

I was looking for a coat to wear my bulky sweaters under & that was longer for the really cold days. I caught this coat 30% off last week. If you’re looking for a good winter coat, it’s one of their best sellers!

I sized up one, so my sweaters & sweatshirts would fit under & ordered the petite, so it wasn’t too long with me sizing up. The length of the arms & coat itself are perfect!

For reference, I’m 5’4” and would normally order a small, but ordered a medium.

Don’t miss an opportunity to personalize your wrapping this year & bring a handmade touch to it.

🎁 First off, paper. When you’re looking to mix your wrapping paper, an easy rule of thumb is select a solid color, a geometric print (like a stripe or plaid), and a more organic print (floral, winter scene, holly, etc.) in a coordinating color scheme.

🏷️ Next are the gift tags, which are a wonderful way to add a handmade, personal touch. I incorporated stamps this year, which added some nostalgia.

🎀 To attach the gift tags you can hole punch them & tie them on with ribbon or add tape to the back to stick them on.

🤎 Another fun idea is monochromatic wrapping, like this matte chocolate brown wrapping paper & the satin chocolate brown ribbon. It will make your gift look elevated & chic.
