It also prevents stains from seeping in deep and stains come out easier in the wash or by spot-treating the area. I spray my new sneakers with this really well and let them fully dry! If you have a pair of dirty shoes - spray them with oxiclean and let them sit overnight. Wash them, and then go in with this spray to seal them!
