On the weekend question box we talked about how using adjectives to describe your style is a better concept than falling under one style category. Some people didn’t really get it do I’ll try to explain it better. I said that my words were chill, versatile, and classic. I didn’t mention that my modifier word is unexpected. A modifier can be used to tie it all together. So for example, in this outfit the base is chill with the wide leg, elastic waist, and the side stripe brings casualness. The top is a fitted merino wool sweater which is classic, paired with some black pointy tie boots which are also classic. They have a very short kitten heel which is chill and casual to me. Both pieces have the versatile aspect. That’s important to me. I need to be able to wear everything I own in many, many different ways so they can serve many different purposes. Lots of times people will wear the same pieces in the same way all the time. I try to have new ways to wear them every time I pull them out. My modifier is unexpected which I get from this vintage acid wash jacket. It just ties it all together to become me. Without it, it feels one dimensional and not very me. I could get the unexpected part by adding a variety of pieces but it was warm again today so a denim jacket worked best. Any clearer? Questions? Also, this look is head to toe secondhand today.
