Just a girl and her comfort bookshelves 🤣 Since I’m not on TikTok, I’m always late to trends but someone DMd me after adding these bookshelves that now qualify for the #bookwealth #shelfwealth trend? Okay, sure 🤷🏾‍♀️

Anyway, this room, my living room, is currently getting facelift with a fresh coast of white paint (#renterproblems #historichousewithplasterwallsproblems) but I’m excited nonetheless! The books will make even more of a statement once reinstalled and I’m actually thinking of making it more into a library where books are in alphabetical by author or title to make finding books a bit easier.

Another side note, this is the first time in pictures I can see how much of a difference having @invisalign is making and I’m VERY happy about it! I totally should have start earlier but thus is life 🙈 I have several more months to go am crossing my fingers to be done this calendar year 🎉🎉

Back to the shelves: I used the @thecontainerstore @containerstorecustomspaces Elfa Classic® 4’ Basic Melamine Shelving White with 8inch depth which was perfect for this open, but narrow-near-door space and absolutely love my choice!

Hi friends! It’s week 2 of the new summer #giftingseries 👏🏾 As a reminder, every week for five total weeks, I’ll be sharing my go-to gifts by category in five different budgets: $15, $25, $50, $75 and $100+ 💰

Giving gifts is my giving love language so this series is super fun and allows me to showcase my favorite tips and tricks I’ve learned over the years. Especially in these lower budget points, I’ve found so many creative ways to give a gift for special occasions, just because days and everything else in between and still feel like I gave “enough” when the budget was tight.

This week I have two favorite highlights: 1 potted orchid - this is the perfect in between of cut flowers and a plant you need a green thumb for. The maintenance is low and they usually last a month or so. This one was $20 from @traderjoes and comes potted. Once the orchid dies, your friends can refill with new orchids or use a cut flower vase or napkin holder or silverware cache at a dinner party.

2. Personalized stationary from @joycreativeshop! I know we always think about buying stationary for ourselves but what a special gift to give customized stationary to a friend. This is such a great gift for newly engaged (future mrs. smith) and recently married friends (full married name or from the ___s family).
