A true #workinprogress for the living room project that just won’t end 🥵 Fhis room has truly been so hard to figure out. As it stands, there’s a change coming to the secretary chair & pillows, at a minimum 💗

The other side of the room is awaiting the banquette that is severely delayed (UGH) and a frame photograph in progress now then a few pillows to finish the space.

Back on the opposite side of the couch, the antique dresser just got a glow-up with a fun piece of marble added to the top and a refresh on the #tabletop decor.

Let’s home this room, which I planned to be finished in April, will actually be done end of September 👏🏾

This photo feels very 2012 @pinterest coded but I love it 😂 The living room continues to be a #workinprogress however, I still absolutely love having these closet shelves turn bookshelf for my ever growing #homelibrary 📚📚

This shelving solution is currently 20% off and I have the 8 inch depth shelves in white at 48 inches wide. It is incredibly easy to hang and I just hired a @taskrabbit to anchor in the studs. my ceilings are only 9 feet tall so with the solution being 84 inches tall when hung correctly it does make it seem like this is a true floor to ceiling book solution.

Both seating options in this room are also on sale, the chair and the bench, in a variety of color ways.

This is easily one of my favorite views in this room because I am able to see the dining room which is such a contrast from the very bright living room with all of the Moody, muted, jewel tones in the wallpaper and curtains and chairs and art – I just love it so much!

embracing all things summer and spring florals with some new playful pieces from c/o @tuckernuck 💐 The tofino pattern tablecloth will be on repeat all season and honestly, I think would be so perfect for the holidays too!

For those who saw my cocktail hour turned into a silver polishing session, the treat is seeing these beauties shine for an early dinner with friends 🩶 I’m really having too much fun mixing high and low, colors and textures and old with new when setting the table these days. It’s been such a creative outlet for me and a way to spark conversation at the dinner table.

I also am loving playing around with my glassware collection (or maybe it’s an obsession - couldn’t tell ya 😂) and love garnishing water and cocktail classes for guest to dress up their drinks. I decanted filtered water in my Estelle decanter and had a bottle of sparkling on ice so whichever was the water preference, the blackberries enhanced it!

PS these placemats are reversible AND wipeable and honestly I need to get every pattern because how genius is that?!

Just a girl and her comfort bookshelves 🤣 Since I’m not on TikTok, I’m always late to trends but someone DMd me after adding these bookshelves that now qualify for the #bookwealth #shelfwealth trend? Okay, sure 🤷🏾‍♀️

Anyway, this room, my living room, is currently getting facelift with a fresh coast of white paint (#renterproblems #historichousewithplasterwallsproblems) but I’m excited nonetheless! The books will make even more of a statement once reinstalled and I’m actually thinking of making it more into a library where books are in alphabetical by author or title to make finding books a bit easier.

Another side note, this is the first time in pictures I can see how much of a difference having @invisalign is making and I’m VERY happy about it! I totally should have start earlier but thus is life 🙈 I have several more months to go am crossing my fingers to be done this calendar year 🎉🎉

Back to the shelves: I used the @thecontainerstore @containerstorecustomspaces Elfa Classic® 4’ Basic Melamine Shelving White with 8inch depth which was perfect for this open, but narrow-near-door space and absolutely love my choice!
