Unexpected Father’s Day gift idea! 💡

I know it’s not a glamorous gift, but I really feel like it’s one of those things they might not know existed, but will really love and appreciate the upgrade once they try it.

Why they’re different from regular nail clippers:

-It has a sharp single blade that slices cleanly, instead of two sides that squeeze

-The cut is smooth, and when you clip across from one side to the other you won’t need to file (HUGE perk)

-It has a receptacle that collects your clippings as you go. It works pretty well, I feel like about 80% of clippings make it in there. Just be careful to keep the Edjy straight up as you go so you don’t accidentally dump your clippings out, I’ve done that several times.

Women can definitely use them too, I just find that men typically have wider c-curves, which lend themselves to this design really well!

I will say, the colors and formulas on all of the gel versions of each of these (FB, BB, and this one) seem different than their regular nail polish counterparts. The gel versions are more sheer, and the color of the gel version of Bubble Bath looks more pink. I swear they changed the color of the lacquer version of BB, I remember back in the day it being more pink than the peachy-tone that it is today. 🤔

But let me get back on track. 😅

I think this color is fantastic, it actually reminds me of Don’t Bossa Nova Me Around, which is one of my favorite OPI neutrals. I wound up doing 3 coats, and you definitely need to float the final coat.

📌 Floating: Getting a good amount of polish on the brush and then barely pressing down on the nail as you apply it. Don’t overwork the polish with lots of brush strokes.

Dazzle Dry review 💅

It’s a great solution for anyone who doesn’t get good wear time with regular nail polish, but doesn’t want to do gel.

Application is a little longer and a little nuanced, but the dry time and longevity can be worth it!

I finally got my hands on one of these EDJY nail cutters and first impressions are really good! The cut is sooo clean, it’s a single blade, so it doesn’t crush your nails like traditional clippers, and it has a little receptacle to collect your clippings, which seems to work well!

The idea is that a cleaner cut means you won’t have to file down any jagged parts after clipping, and they say that the clean cut reduces peeling and splitting.

So far I’ve only done a few little cuts, I’m waiting for my nails to grow out a little more because I’ll be creating a UGC video for them, but my husband already fully loves it, he might have been even more excited than me to receive it 😄
