Episode IV: we found white oak floors three of the rooms! The hallway connecting the rooms had just carpet so we laid white oak to match the rooms. The hallway upstairs was a weird dead space that was big enough for a few chairs but nothing else. We decided to pull out built ins on the wall so we could put a console table and TV. (Don’t worry there’s a whole other wall of built ins! So we didn’t lose the storage!) the loft got paneling to make it feel cozier and will be painted white since it doesn’t have any direct sunlight to make it feel brighter and bigger. The play structure was taken out (we loved it and were going to keep it!) but it had been the victim of cats and cat pee- and the CRUMBS found in the crevices that had been stuck there for years - it needed to go and be rebuilt!
