Not every room has to be your forever room. Truthfully, we’ve barely touched our living room, and I’m okay with that. We know this space will eventually be part of a larger renovation, so instead of pouring money into a design we’ll likely change, we’ve been intentional. A fresh coat of paint, a few affordable furniture finds, layered textures, and thoughtful styling have been enough to make it feel calm, inviting, and aligned with the rest of our home. I think there’s a lot of pressure to make every room “finished,” but sometimes the smartest design decision is creating a space you genuinely enjoy today while leaving room for what’s next. This room may not be my dream living room yet, but it’s where we gather, unwind, and make memories. And for this season, that’s more than enough.
