The question I get asked the most is, “Are you going to try to be an influencer?” This question makes me squirm. Which feels silly, considering I have 20K followers on Instagram and have been sharing my life online for almost 15 years. So yes, it’s a fair question. But why does it still make me uncomfortable? The truth is, I don’t want to be an influencer. At least not in the way people usually mean. Yet in so many ways, I feel like I need to be. Now that I find myself unemployed from the corporate job that was supposed to buy me time, the answer technically has to be yes. But the real question is: can I do this in my own way?
