Maybe it’s my socially awkward, overthinking brain. Maybe it’s because I spend 99% of my free time at home and have fully embraced my introvert era. Or maybe it’s the fact that every time I meet someone new, I replay the entire conversation in my head for the next 3-5 business days. 🤣

And while I’ve never been officially diagnosed as neurodivergent, let’s just say some of those traits hit a little too close to home. 🧠😂

So if you’re also navigating social anxiety, an expired social battery, awkward small talk, and the challenge of making friends as an adult... welcome. You’re my people.

At least in my head, I’m the life of the party. 🎉🤣

POV: You survived your first full week back at work after endometriosis excision surgery… and this is what recovery really looks like. 😂

I officially made it through my first full week back to work after a month-long surgery leave, and whew… the post-op fatigue is NO joke.

Every evening has looked pretty much the same: clock out, soak my aching body in a scorching hot bath, grab my heating pad, put on my weighted eye mask, and immediately take a cat nap before I can even think about making dinner or doing anything around the house. 😴

I knew recovering from endometriosis excision surgery would take time, but I didn’t expect the exhaustion to hit this hard after returning to work. My body is definitely reminding me that healing isn’t always a straight line.

Right now, this little recovery routine is getting me through:
💛 Hot bath
💛 Heating pad on full blast
💛 Weighted eye mask (shoutout to @nodpodofficial)
💛 Emergency evening nap

Thankfully, it’s finally the weekend, and I can focus on resting and recharging before doing it all over again next week.

Since I’ve been home recovering from surgery and getting ready to head back to work next week, I’ve been stocking my freezer with all my favorite freezer-friendly meals, and this crockpot spaghetti sauce is always at the top of the list 🍝❤️

This easy slow cooker spaghetti sauce recipe is seriously my all-time favorite comfort food. There’s nothing better than a big plate of spaghetti with homemade meat sauce, especially when the crockpot does all the work for you! Just toss everything in, let it simmer low and slow all day, and your house smells AMAZING 🤤

One of the best parts? This recipe makes a huge batch, so I always freeze extra for easy weeknight dinners later on. Just thaw, heat, and dinner is basically done 🙌 Perfect for busy work weeks, meal prep, freezer cooking, and easy family dinners!

POV: You’re stuck recovering in bed so you cope by binge reading psychological thriller books 🤣📚

Since I’ve been laying around recovering with not much to do, I’ve spent most of my time completely hooked on some of the best psychological thriller books I’ve read in a while. Honestly, these twisty thriller novels have been the perfect distraction and now I need everyone to read them with me 👀 If you love dark thrillers, shocking endings, suspenseful books, and plot twists you NEVER see coming… add these to your TBR immediately!

📖 My recent psychological thriller book recommendations:

1️⃣ Gray After Dark — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I could NOT put this one down. Definitely my favorite thriller out of all of them! It had me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end and the twists were insane. Dark, suspenseful, creepy, and so addictive. If you love fast-paced psychological thrillers, this one is a MUST READ.

2️⃣ Drowning in Paper Flowers — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Another thriller that completely consumed me. Every time I thought I had it figured out, the story surprised me again. The ending?! Absolutely wild.

3️⃣ Her First Lie — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Such a fun and twisty thriller read! Plus there was briefly a character named Charity in it which made me weirdly excited because I NEVER find my name in books 🤣

4️⃣ The Bartender — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Loved this easy thriller read! It has multiple POVs which can sometimes lose me, but this one was done really well and kept me hooked the whole time.

5️⃣ The Missing Ones — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Probably my least favorite of the bunch, mainly because the multiple POVs got a little confusing for me. BUT the storyline was super dark, twisty, and entertaining the entire time.

If you’re into thriller books, psychological suspense novels, mystery books with shocking twists, or binge-worthy reads that keep you up way too late… save this list for later 📚

Instagram turned my last surgery prep video into Alvin & the Chipmunks 😭🤣

So if you saw my endometriosis surgery packing reel sounding like I inhaled helium all day… no you didn’t 😂 I have NO idea what happened, but we’re rolling with it lol.

Since that was a fail, I put together a hospital bag essentials carousel for endometriosis surgery / laparoscopy / hysterectomy prep so you can actually hear (and see) everything clearly this time 🙃

If you have endometriosis excision surgery or any kind of abdominal surgery coming up, this is everything I’m bringing to stay comfortable, prepared, and (hopefully) make recovery a little easier 🤍

We do have a 3.5 hour drive home after surgery, which honestly makes me a little nervous 😅 so I’m trying to be extra prepared this time around.

POV: you just found the best thing to do in Hilton Head Island ⛵️✨

Yesterday we went on our very first sailboat with @islandheadsailing and it was seriously one of the most fun experiences we’ve had on the island! Even though it was freezing (I was fighting for my life on the way back 🥶🤣), the views of the water were absolutely unreal.

We booked their Hilton Head brunch sail, and it came with the cutest spread of brunch goodies to enjoy while cruising, 10/10 recommend. Between the ocean breeze, peaceful vibes, and stunning scenery, this is hands down a must-do in Hilton Head Island.

Exploring Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge was easily one of the best things to do in Hilton Head and such a hidden gem for nature lovers 🌿✨

We didn’t come fully prepared (rookie mistake 😂), but if you’re planning to visit, definitely bring water and plan ahead—there are no bathrooms or drinkable water on the island. Trust me, you’ll want to stay awhile because you can hike and bike for miles through some of the most peaceful, scenic trails!

Even though we cut our time short, we still made it to the butterfly garden and Ibis Pond—and WOW 😍 watching dozens of ibis birds flying over the water was unreal. We even spotted an armadillo up close, which made the whole experience feel extra wild and unforgettable!

If you’re visiting Hilton Head Island and want a break from the beach (especially on a chilly day), this is such a peaceful outdoor adventure to add to your itinerary.
