Day 6 of my concealer series in our quest to find the best formula for 40+ skin!

Today I tested the RMS Beauty Hydra Concealer ✨ This one had my attention right away because the ingredients are clean and loaded with skincare benefits.

Initial thoughts: It blends super easily, looks skin-like and gives a brightening effect that helps mask my dark circles, even if a little purple still sneaks through 💫 I also compared brush vs fingertip since everyone keeps asking and… I don’t see a big difference?🤷🏻‍♀️ Which looks better to you?

My deal breaker is the staying power. It settled into fine lines fast and kept moving around even after using setting powder 😩 Beautiful formula and amazing ingredients but too much sliding for me. For reference, I used shade WN015.

Final rating is 7.5 out of 10 ⭐️

Would the movement under the eyes be a deal breaker for you or would you still wear it for the clean ingredients?

Tower 28 Swipe Serum Concealer… where have you been all my 40-year-old life?! 🤎✨
I finally tried it today and WOW — I get the hype now.

This one gave me solid coverage without the heaviness, brightened up my under eyes, and stayed looking skin-like and natural all day. Zero cakiness. Zero weird texture. Just a beautiful, hydrated finish that actually worked with my skin instead of fighting it.

I’m giving it a solid 9/10 ⭐️
There was a little creasing later in the day (nothing dramatic), but overall this has instantly become one of my top favorites in the whole series so far.

Day 3 of my concealer series:
Bobbi Brown skin full coverage long wear concealer. I used the shade warm sand 💛

This one promises 16-hour coverage, crease resistance, and a flexible formula that “moves with your expressions.”

Here’s what I actually noticed:

✨ Blends like a dream
✨ Gave me solid dark-circle coverage
✨ Felt hydrating (not cakey or drying)
✨ Looked really pretty right after application

But about 30 minutes in…
I did see some movement under my eyes and a little settling into my fine lines. Nothing tragic, just enough that I noticed.

Overall?
I really liked it — super easy to work with, great coverage, just maybe not a true “16-hour crease-proof queen” on my 40-year-old under-eyes.

CONCEALER SERIES DAY ONE: Trying a new concealer everyday for seven days to find the best option for aging / mature skin. I turned 40 and need something that covers dark my circles, isn’t too drying, and doesn’t settle into fine lines. Shape Tape wasn’t doing my skin any favors anymore so it’s time to find a better option.

First up, Estée Lauder Double Wear concealer blew me away!! Beautiful coverage without being too heavy. Just make sure to hydrate your skin well with a good moisturizer and eye cream to ensure your face is prepped well.

Shade: I am medium to light skin tone with neutral undertones so I went with 3N.

Very impressed with this one, which is setting the bar pretty high for the concealers to follow!
